Werewolf: The Foresaken VENUE STYLE SHEET Storyteller Contact – Mykle McGovern, NCRE Forsaken Lead cosforsakenst@gmail.com General Overview: Across the land, the enemies of the Forsaken emerge from hiding. Anshega, Azlu, Beshilu, Idigam, Magath....these are the names whispered in the flickering firelight by those who huddle close against the cold of night. Even the Hisil, sworn protectorate of the Forsaken, has taken on a malignant cast. A storm brews over the mountains, blown in on an ill wind from the east. The drums of war echo out across the jagged peaks like thunder, as the Pure Tribes seek to push the Forsaken out of the Front Range. The Cahalith find little sleep these nights, as nightmarish visions plague their nighttime hours. The very air is charged, as if lightening were about to strike.... An ungin is called, howled to the skies by those who have no choice but to ask for aid. A pack goes quiet, leaving a powerful locus open for the taking. And somewhere among the darkened clouds, an ancient enemy of the Forsaken stands poised to tear the Gauntlet apart. Action Combat and Challenges 5 Character Development Personal dilemmas and choices 3 Darkness PC death or corruption 4 Drama Ceremony and grand story 4 Intrigue Politics and negotiation 3 Manners Social etiquette and peer pressure 4 Mystery Enigmas and investigation 3 Pace How fast do stories emerge, develop, and resolve? 4 Venue Rules: IC Check In As per the NCRE X Universal VSS with the following additions: In order to have use of a pack totem, players must have at least 2 members of the pack at the event and they must be allowed to have them by their direct Storyteller. Please bring 2 printed copies of any pack totems for on-site IC check-in. Storytellers reserve the right to disallow or run any pack totem. Each character is limited to 5 dots and/or levels of fetishes unless prior approval has been received (see below). The following items will need to be approved for play prior to the event. Any players seeking to register a PC posessing these items should email the Venue Lead a copy of the item in question no later than July 28th, 2007. Approvals will be sent via email. Players will be responsible for producing a copy of this email at character check in. Weaponry outside of what is described in MET: World of Darkness and other sanctioned material. More than 5 dots and/or levels of fetishes. Magical items other than fetishes. Explosive devices and strange gadgetry as described in the Universal VSS. High Approval custom items/group affiliation of any kind. Any type of mobile locus. Starting Essence: All player characters will begin the Forsaken game at full Essence. As per the Universal VSS, any item (such as a fetish) that allows for Essence to be stored must be approved by the Venue Lead no later than July 28th, 2007. A Narrator will be on hand during the event to allow player characters to attempt to procure more Essence during game if need be. On Site vs Off Site Due to the nature of the IC location for the NCRE X Forsaken venue, any players with PCs wandering away from the main gathering area are required to seek out a Storyteller. Given the wilderness terrain and the number of enemies present in said wilderness, the threat of getting lost or getting ambushed is very real. The supervising Narrator is empowered to ask a player to make pulls to avoid those situations should he feel warranted to do so. Travel Risks: As mentioned under OnSite vs. OffSite, the setting for the NCRE X Forsaken venue is a wilderness area. Thus, getting to said area could be difficult. Characters may travel to the general area via whatever means they wish, but to reach the actual gathering point, they will have to go it on foot. As above, the threat of getting lost or ambushed is very real. Thus, at IC check-in, players will roll a 1d10. On a 1-3 result, the sheet will be marked and the player will be advised to speak with a Narrator at the beginning of game for a Travel Risk event. Proxy Rules: As per the Universal VSS. Please note that the Venue Lead for Forsaken Experience: As per the Universal VSS. Storyteller Empowerment in Mass Combat Scenes: As per the Universal VSS. Mass Destruction Effects: As per the Universal VSS.
