Xiaokai (October 6, 1948 -2004 on July 7), formerly known as Yang Xi-guang, pet
name Oscar, Australian-Chinese. World-renowned economist, thinker, human rights
champion, worthy of "China's conscience."

In 1962 -1968 the first secondary school in Changsha.
1968, 20-year-old high school student Xiaokai published his famous article,
"Whither China? "The article raises the CCP senior Kang

After the completion of their studies at Princeton University, Xiaokai received
post-doctoral research fellowships at Yale University. In 1988, he moved to Australia,
to accept a lecturer in Monash University. He then published a series of papers and
books in English, and soon gained wide international attention. In 1989 he became
senior lecturer, became full professor in 1993 (Reader), he was awarded the 2000
Chair Professor, Department of Economics. In 1993, Academy of Social Sciences in
