The Circulatory System
How the body gets oxygen
What is circulation?
When blood moves oxygen through your body in your blood vessels - Blood goes out through your arteries; - It goes back through your veins. Oxygen from your lungs is added your blood. The heart pumps your blood through your body
How does the heart work?
Blood pumps blood into the atrium (the upper chambers of the heart); It pumps out through the ventricles. It goes into the lungs to get oxygen, and drop off carbon dioxide
What do the lungs do?
The lungs take in oxygen and get out carbon dioxide. The blood picks up oxygen on specialized cells called hemoglobin.
