									Balancing Vault Procedures

           Home State Bank, N.A.
Purpose

 This presentation will review the
 procedures for balancing the vault,
which must be done everyday by 3:00
 p.m.

             Home State Bank, N.A.
Rationale

Home State Bank is required, everyday,
to switch to the next business day by
3:00 p.m. In order to switch over, the
vault, along with all of the teller drawers,
 must be balanced.

Terms to Understand

 Cash in and out vault tickets - When a
teller needs to sell money to the vault,
they fill out a cash in vault ticket. When
they need to buy money from it, they fill
out a cash out vault ticket.
 Blotter – Paper with a table printed on it,
used to write how much of each
  denomination is in the vault.
