History of TXU Energy Aid
TXU Energy Aid
Began in 1983
Has assisted over 300,000 families with $40.5 million
20,000 customers and/or employees contribute monthly
Raises $700,000 per year to assist needy
In 2004, TXU Energy made a three year $15 million commitment
Continuing in 2007 at $5 million per year
TXU Energy Aid is TXU’s flagship customer financial assistance
program. This program provides temporary bill payment
assistance to help needy customers during a life crisis.

Operation of TXU Energy Aid
TXU Energy Aid Partners:
Approximately 80 selected non-profit agencies
Mixture of LIHEAP agencies and private funded organizations
Across the deregulated service area of Texas
Receive quarterly disbursements
Agencies provide monthly reporting
Agencies qualify customers who receive assistance
TXU Energy does not set any income qualification guidelines
or maximum allocation per customer
Customer and employee donations are returned to their local communities.
The corporate gift is used to match the donations and fill the gaps where
needed.

Employee Campaign:
Held 3rd annual employee campaign in Fall of 2006
Raised $170,000 from TXU employees through on-going
payroll donations and one-time gifts
12% increase from 2005
Approximately 18% employee participation
Conducted simultaneously with annual United Way campaign
In 2006 TXU began one coordinated corporate campaign for
United Way and TXU Energy Aid
Campaign committee is responsible for conducting corporate-
wide campaign
