has a circulation of approximately 5,000 readers which include students, teachers, parents, and alumni. Approximately 90% of Lane graduates attend two or four year colleges immediately after high school. Past advertisers include: local food establishments, music stores, clothing and apparel stores, formal wear stores, community-service organizations, institutions of higher learning, video arcades, grocery stores, and tutor/test prep services. Lane Tech High School, located on the corner of Addison and Western on Chicago’s North Side, is the state’s largest high school. As one of the city’s most prestigious selective admissions high schools, it draws students from all over Chicago. All revenue from advertising is used for the improvement of including payment of printing costs, updating of computer technology, and purchasing of necessary materials. Named 2008 “Superior Overall Newspaper” by the Scholastic Press Association of Chicago (McCormick Tribune Foundation High School Media Awards).
