					                         Pakiv European Network works for strengthening
                         democratic practices and effective fulfillment of human
                         rights by promoting participatory approaches to
                         development in Roma communities. In fulfilling its mission,
                         PEN seeks to influence policies for social inclusion of
                         disadvantaged (Roma) groups, by stimulating processes
                         of critical reflection, learning, and exchange on local
                         experiences practices.

Working groups – please tick the group you would like to join in. You

  Public Relations:
 Ensure that the network has a strong public image; producing P.R. materials; helping the
 public to understand the network and its aims, objectives, and activities; connecting with
 media and communicating to the external environment

  Communication:
 Provide regular information about the activities of the network to its members and to the
 broader society. Sets up and manages communication strategies among project actors, and
 with the wider public. Service delivery is provided through direct contact; group work with
 members, telephone calls and e-mails.

  Fundraising:
 Identify and establish contacts with potential supporters; assist with research and grant-
 writing; project-related data collection and analysis.

  Capacity Building:
 Ensure that the network members have the abilities and the knowledge to carry on the
 network activities; conceive the profile and identify the training needs for the new and
 existing members.

  Active Citizenship
 Engage in the ongoing project European Citizenship - Equal Opportunities – Intercultural
 Understanding, - civic tools and models for active participation of Roma in the
 construction of European values. Ensure the development of new active citizenship
 projects and actions in relation to the strategy of PEN

  Intercultural Dialogue
 Design, develop and engage in the PEN strategy for promoting intercultural dialogue in
 the year 2008.
