The Cat Fancier & Rescue Alliance that helps breed rescue efforts across the nation!

Purebred Rescuers welcome you to this CFA cat show!

At this cat show, you will have the opportunity to view and learn about CFA pedigreed cat breeds. If
you are interested in owning a pedigreed cat, you will find a marvelous opportunity to learn about
them here. Far fewer cats would need rescue had their owners known more about cats, what to look
for, and what factors to consider before obtaining them, and this information is invaluable to selecting
your cat and making sure you & your family and the cat you select are a good "match".

Once you know a bit about these breeds, please do help educate others about each species or breed
BEFORE they get a pet and caution them to ONLY get a pet if they can honestly commit to that
responsibility for the lifetime of the animal. If they are considering buying a whole animal as a pet,
please tell them the advantages of spaying or neutering that pet. Only a very few purebred cats, as
identified by knowledgeable breeders, are likely to contribute to their breed's important health, beauty
and temperament characteristics. It is a rare cat that is qualified for a responsible, pedigreed breeding
program! If a person is not ready to undertake the increased level of commitment to a breed which
breeding entails, then other options are available that will still allow them the enjoyment of their
chosen breed. Please ask them to consider the neutered or spayed rescue cat as one of those options!

CFA Purebred Rescue, Inc has a newly established nationwide program that has rescued more than
1400 purebreds in the last 12 months. This coalition of cat fanciers, rescuers, and other people who
care about cats also helps coordinate rescues and transports for Breed Rescues, educates the public
about responsible cat ownership, helps provide foster homes for pets of the military while they are
abroad through Operation Noble foster, helps to fund spay/neuter of rescued purebred cats, and offers
a toll free emergency hotline for reporting purebreds at high risk in shelters: (888) 303-9454.

Please help us protect these cats from euthanasia in shelters by helping to educate everyone
you know about responsible cat ownership. You can help by fostering or helping to transport. You can
help by donating. You can also help by educating your friends and family to spay and neuter their pet
