What is Transaction Backlog?
Transaction Backlog is comprised of transactions that reside in your Local
Database that have recycled and/or rejected during Defense Joint Military
Pay System (DJMS) processing plus any transactions that contain a DJMS
management notice are considered outstanding transactions and referred to
as transaction backlog.
The timeliness of resolving these transactions is based on the following:
– The Backlog Clock Starts with the DJMS Process Date.
– The Backlog Clock Stops with the date resolution action is taken
(e.g., Resubmit, Memo Entry, No Action Required)
New and Renamed Security Resources
Reassign Backlog - Assign this resource to individual’s who are authorized to make
assignments and/or reassign existing assignments. This resource also enables two

your organizations or sites transaction backlog and backlog statistical reports.
View Backlog By Team-ID - Assign this resource to individual’s who are authorized to

Assign this resource to individual’s who are authorized to update and maintain the user

capabilities of this table.
DMO user information must be entered into the User Processing Table in order for each
user to access backlog transactions; include the users Team-ID on the table.
Access to Open Backlog
When your Security Profile does not contain the Backlog Resources and you select Open
Backlog your outstanding transactions (Backlog) will be displayed on the Backlog Screen.
This screen will only reflect work assigned to your User ID.
The User ID field, Reassign and Work Assignment buttons will be disabled when your
Security Profile does not contain the Backlog Resources.
When your DMO Security Profile contains the new Backlog Resources and you select
Open Backlog, the following window labeled ‘Open Backlog’ will be displayed.
• The View Backlog by Team-ID
resource allows you to select any user
listed on the User Table assigned to
your Team-ID or your Team-ID.
• The View All Backlog and/or
Reassign Backlog resources will
allow you to select any user or any
Team-ID that exists on the User Table.
The choices that you make on the ‘Open Backlog’ window defines the data that will
(initially) be displayed (on the ‘Backlog Assigned to’ screen). By default the Assigned
User button is selected and your User ID will automatically be displayed in the
Select Assigned User field. When you have completed making your choices on this
screen, select the OK button to continue; this action will close the ‘Open Backlog’ window
and open the Backlog Screen.
