How does the weather change during the four season?

Four Seasons Make One Year

Spring is the season between winter and summer. The first day of Spring is March 21 or March 22. The first day of spring is called the spring solstice. Spring last for three months. Spring is when nature awakes after the long winter nap.

Summer is the season between spring and autumn. The first day of Summer is June 21 or June 22. The first day of summer is called the summer solstice. Summer Last for three months. It is the hottest season of the year.

Autumn is a season of change. People, plants and animals get ready for winter. The first day of autumn is September 22 or 23. The first day of autumn is called the autumnal equinox (aw-TUHM-nuhl EE-kwuh-noks). Autumn lasts three months. Fall is another name for autumn.

Winter is the season between autumn and spring. The first day of winter is December 21 or 22. The first day of winter is called the winter solstice. Winter lasts for three months. Winter is the coldest season of the year.

Spring is for new life

Spring is time for the flowers to bloom.

Spring is the time for a variety of beautiful colors.

A sign of spring is the trees growing new leaves

Summer is the time to go to the beach

Children enjoy their summer vacation

The first sign of autumn is the leaves start to change colors.

As the weather gets colder the leaves start to fall off the trees.

Red, orange, yellow and brown are the colors of the leaves in autumn.

Raking Leaves can be lots of fun.

Children enjoy picking pumpkins in the fall

Winter is time for lots of snow

especially in the mountains

Most trees lose all their leaves in the winter.

Roads are sometimes hard to travel on.

Some animals migrate, some hibernate and some stay to face the harsh days of winter
