v) Regarding Provisioning, activation ,
inventory and Configuration management of
the NMS, our understanding is that it shall
be done by the respective EMS's of L1 and
L2 Bidders and not at the NMS level. This is
the most practical and cost effective solution
since IP TAX network does not undergo
frequent changes in configuration, inventory
and provisioning are well planned. Please
confirm. vi) If we refer to the TEC GR
of 2003, there is no requirement of
provisioning, activation and inventory. In
fact considering that IP TAX is not a
frequent change oriented network like broad
band or MPLS Edge, we strongly feel that
provisioning, inventory , configuration,
security and accounting should be done at
respective element management system
level. It is only Fault and performance which
will be aggregated from both eMS ( of L1 &
L2 bidder) and provide a single NMS.
vii) We are assuming that IPTAX NMS vii) Refer Clause 2.28 of Section IV Part II.
need not be integrated with NIB or CDR or
GSM OSS- BSS Network since IP TAX
NMS is not affected in any major way by the
changes in OSS - BSS of these network
segments and vice versa. Is our
understanding correct?
