GeoGebra in Norway
• Norway holds the world record in hits per capita at www.geogebra.org • Reasons for the popularity:
– GeoGebra is free, user friendly, and very good – Translated to Norwegian by Sigbjørn Hals since 2006 – Digital literacy is regarded as one of five basic skills in the national curriculum since 2006 – GeoGebra is used and supported by the main text books for the Norwegian upper secondary school

Current activities
• Teacher training offered by Universities, University Colleges, publishing houses, and others on a commercial basis. • Nearly no activity at the Norwegian GeoGebraWiki
– Some teachers and teacher educators share their GeoGebra material on open web pages – No overview of material published by teachers in Learning Management Systems
• Little activity at the Norwegian GeoGebra forum • No coordination of development, research, and training
