MODULE 2. ECOLOGY TEMPLATE FOR PREPARING QA PROJECT PLANS
The template in this module is intended to be used in conjunction with Ecology Publication No. 04-03-030, Guidelines for Preparing Quality Assurance Project Plans for Environmental Studies (Guidelines), which is included as Module 3 and is also available in “.pdf” format at http://www.ecy.wa.gov/biblio/0403030.html. It includes a glossary that can be referenced for terms used in this document. Appendix C of the Guidelines is a QA Project Plan Review Checklist that can be used along with the template to aid in the review of the final plan. The Guidelines describe 14 elements to be addressed in the plan. Appendix D of the Guidelines provides a comparison of the QA Project Plan Elements in the EPA and Ecology guidance documents. The EPA’s Document QA/G-5, Guidance for Quality Assurance Project Plans can provide additional guidance, if needed, for the preparation of your plan and may be downloaded at www.epa.gov/quality/qs-docs/g5-final.pdf. The template includes information and instructions needed for the preparation of a QA Project Plan. Some of the text will be deleted as the plan is prepared.
