Dona Ana Branch Community College Assessment Plan
There are three proposed tiers to assessment at DABCC. They are:

   1. Developmental Studies Assessment: Faculty who teach developmental studies courses will develop a set of three or four student
learning outcomes for students in developmental studies courses. An assessment plan will be designed fall 2006.
   2. Career-technical Programs Assessment: Student Learning Outcomes have been identified for all of the career-technical programs
at DABCC. Department Chairs are in the process of designing assessment plans that will begin in fall 2006.
   3. General Education Assessment: Broad Student Learning Outcomes statements have been written to assess General Education at
DABCC. An assessment tools has been created by the Writing-Across-the-Curriculum taskforce for the student learning outcome
that addresses communication. The Math-Across-the-Curriculum taskforce is currently working on an assessment tool for the
student learning outcome that addresses math skills. During summer 2006 a plan will be designed to address the additional student
      learning outcomes.

A visual of this comprehensive assessment plan might look something like this:

                                 General Education Assessment—institution-wide

                        Assessment of Career-Technical Programs—program specific

                                Assessment of Developmental Studies Program—
                                       Math, Reading and Composition
