My student’s favorite writing activityDraw a figure, cut it out & color it. Then cut it in half. Glue the top half to the top of your story & the bottom half to the bottom of the paper. Example: We were studying about planets and the students drew an astronaut and wrote their story. They wanted a spaceship, so we drew that. Then they tied their story with the astronaut to the spaceship.

My favorite writing prompt for Thanksgiving isGo online & find the turkey holding a blank sign. Give one to each child and they have to come up with a slogan (Eat Ham not turkey!). Then they color their turkey & cut it out. They write their slogan & at least two reasons why you should eat their choice instead of turkey. Then we sneak all around the school & tape them up everywhere. The kids loved doing this & no one (well, maybe my principal) suspected who had done it all.
