This is important because it makes the skeleton a lot lighter. Migration • One of the main reasons why the bird isn’t extinct is, because of their ability to fly and their capability to reach all over the world. This is called Migration, they do this doing the beginning of different seasons. Humming Birds • The Humming Birds have the highest metabolism out of all the types of birds. • This is do to how fast their wing rate and how they move their wings in a figure-8 motion. Dodo • A flightless bird that went extinct in 1662 • The Dodo was completely fearless of humans and other animals the humans brought onto their island • That is one reason why the Dodo became extinct • Also it was theorized that the Dodo’s population was severely hurt by a natural disaster before humans even came onto their island Condor • Related to the vulture family • Have few feathers on head and neck, for hygiene issues • Average life-span is over 50 years Questions?
