 The AVT792 is the latest feature packed 4 Channel Digital Recorder from AVTech. This DVR uses the latest H.264
Compression technology to produce crisp, clear recordings whilst using a fraction of the storage space needed by
other compression formats such as wavelet and Jpeg2000, Network/ Internet access is also much faster - H.264 is
currently used for applications such as BluRay, Sky Player and BBC Online, etc. Coupled with the systems fully
programmable motion detection, recording times are greatly extended without any loss of quality.

When using motion detection, the system also incorporates an 8Mb pre-record buffer - ie: whilst most systems start
recording upon motion detection, which can lead to the first few seconds of an event being missed, the AVT792
constantly buffers the images being received and so in the event of motion being detected, actually captures a few
seconds of video before the event itself - ensuring nothing is missed and continuity of evidence is maintained.

The motion detection itself is fully programmable and allows for object masking - for example, if a detection is
constantly being triggered by a constantly moving object such as a tree - the system can be programmed to mask the
tree whilst maintaining detection in all other areas - as the system is grid based, multiple detection and masking zones
can be set up for each camera.

Another feature of this unit which is normally only found on much more expensive systems is it's network access and
compatibility - unlike most systems which require the use of the DVR's client software and/ or Internet Explorer,
normally only supporting 1 or 2 simultaneous connections, the AVT792 allows connection of up to 20 simultaneous
connections by various methods including it's own client software, Internet Explorer, FireFox and even supports
Quicktime, making it one of the few systems compatible with Apple Mac web browsers.
