 California Integrated Waste Management Board Meeting

              Pyrolysis System Permit
• Applied for permit with SCAQMD in January 2005 to
  conduct trial burn on post-recycle MSW.
• SCAQMD issued a temporary Research Permit in March
  2005 to allow for a limited operation to conduct source
  tests.
• Permit Summary/Status:
     – Allowed a maximum of 32 tons/day of MSW for up to 18 days of
       operation
     – Required source testing for criteria and toxic pollutants
     – Source tests completed in June/July 2005 at 1.25 tons/hr and
       report submitted in August 2005
     – Source test report is presently under review and results are only
       considered preliminary
