APUSH – Cornwell
Readings Schedule (October 17-27, 2006)

We will take a modified approach for the next several chapters in an attempt to condense the
material to its core components and focus our studies more clearly on important issues of
antebellum (pre-Civil War) America.

We will use the AMSCO book and other supplementary documents, etc, for the next several
chapters as our central reading. The Henretta book (America’s History) may be used as the
supplementary reading and reference from time to time. The chapters from Henretta are parts
of 8 and 9.

We will still stay on a fairly brisk pace but the condensation of material should make these final
days before the quarter break somewhat more manageable without sacrificing any essential
content.

This period is sometimes easier understood in terms of presidential administrations and the
events that occurred in each.
