coming meeting topics or future events; link to our YTB travel site; follow
The 4-Way Test our outbound student in Austria or our inbound student from Brazil!! Take a
of the things we think, say, look around . . . it will take you some trial-n-error the first time, but you’ll
or do make it work – it’s not that hard!!!
1. Is it the TRUTH?
2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
3. Will it build GOODWILL and
BETTER FRIENDSHIPS? Our club is probably the most
4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all informed club about the Ro-
concerned? tary Foundation, thanks to our

District Governor Jo Ann Lemmon WE ARE GIVING AWAY FOUNDATION POINTS!!
Have you been planning to become a Paul Harris Fellow?
Did you ever wonder how you would accomplish that task?
Your Board has found a way for you to become a Paul Harris Fellow
($1000 to the Foundation) or to reach the next level of your Foundation
giving!!
Between now and October 15, 2010, you can reach that goal by using
the Club’s matching points!!
Been a member for awhile??
You can use up to 200 club points if you contribute at least $200 (or
less)!! Club points will match your contribution up to the $200!!
Are you a new member (within the 2009-present Rotary years)??
You can become a sustaining member ($100) by contributing up to $100
and the Club will match those $$ with
points!
Want to wait for the November Founda-
tion month match??
We will still have that as well – those are
budgeted $$, not Club points!!

SPEAKERS
If you missed our last two meetings you
missed a lot! The speaker for August 4th was
our District’s last Outbound GSE team, who
recently returned from their trip to Colombia.
Present to discuss their experience was team
leader Joe Scheimer, and team participants
Bonnie Robinson and Gino Fortis. The team
met 13 clubs within the Colombian district,
were always greeted warmly, and taken care
of well. They saw some wonderful Rotary
action in work, including a school that is be-
ing funded in the slums of Bogata through a matching grant program.
Our speaker for August 11th was Dinyah Rein, Inspirational Speaker, Trainer, Facilitator and Coach.
Dinyah’s topic was “The Buck Stops Here”. She presented the formula
“Event + Response = Outcome”, and explained that the Response factor is
totally within our power. If you want a different outcome, you have to change
your response. Dinyah was thought provoking and stimulating. She can be
reached at din-
yah@CoachDinyah.com or at
www.CoachDinyah.com.
DON’T MISS NEXT WEEK’s SPEAKER!
Alyssa Ward, an International Baccalaureate student at Winston Chur-
chill Middle School, will be presenting the results of her People to Peo-
ple International Ambassador trip that many of our members help fund.
Alyssa visited many places in both England and France, she is excited
to share her experiences and photos with the club.
