Animated Jack o Lantern
1. Open PowerPoint. Save your 1st slide in the Projects folder, name it jack. 2. Use the Drawing toolbar to draw a jack o lantern (include a stem on the top!): Autoshapes, Lines, Scribble. Save. 3. Make a black background: Format, Background, select black and Apply to all slides. Save. 4. Go to Slide Sorter View (View and Slide Sorter). 5. Copy your jack o lantern slide (Edit Copy or Ctrl c). Paste it 5 times so you have 6 slides of your jack o lantern. (Edit Paste or Ctrl v) Save. 6. Double click on slide 5. Click on the mouth and Delete. Save. 7. Go back to Slide Sorter View. Double click on slide 4. Delete the mouth and the nose. Save. 8. Go back to Slide Sorter View. Double click on slide 3. Delete the mouth, the nose, and one eye. Save. 9. Go back to Slide Sorter View. Double click on slide 2. Delete the mouth, the nose, & both eyes. Save. 10. Go back to Slide Sorter View. Double click on slide 1. Delete the mouth, the nose, both eyes, and the stem. Save. 11. Go back to Slide Sorter View. Click ONCE on slide 6. Copy and paste it. Save. 12. Double click on slide 7. Use the Fill Tool (looks like a paint bucket) and fill each black jack part with yellow. Save. 13. Go back to Slide Sorter View. Copy & paste slide 6. Copy & paste slide 7. Move these slides so that your slide show ends with alternating black & yellow jack o lanterns. Save. 14. Click on Slide Show and Slide Transition. Choose No transition. Check Automatically after 1 second. Apply to All. Save. 15. Click on your 1st slide and watch your show! 16. Loop your slideshow so it goes over and over by clicking on Slide Show and Set Up Show. Click on Loop continuously until ‘Esc’ 17. Click OK and Save.
