Speedo awards digital account to Media Catalyst
Amsterdam agency teams with Speedo
Amsterdam, May 2006
Following a three-way pitch involving two London based interactive agencies, iconic
swimwear giant Speedo has awarded their Strategic Digital Marketing account to
Media Catalyst.
Speedo chose Media Catalyst for their dynamic, ideas-driven designs, as well as
their proven expertise in creating user-friendly websites. Media Catalyst will initially
produce a global website for Speedo, allowing localised and translated versions to be
added in the following months.
Ferdi van Heerden, Speedo’s Vice President of Marketing: "The internet provides us
with a unique opportunity to strengthen the relationship with our consumers. This is
particularly important for us as we move towards Beijing 2008 where we have to
show the passion of the brand inside and outside the pool."
