Promoting Traffic Safety
Nissan has been implementing Hello Safety Campaign activities in Japan three times a year since 1972-as part
of the spring and autumn national traffic safety drive campaign and during summer vacation.
These grassroots activities are implemented in cooperation with local community groups to encourage chil-
dren, their parents, and the elderly to provide care for others.
Major Achievements
Traffic safety picture book Traffic safety picture book
Nissan has published a traffic safety picture book, which is distributed
to kindergartens and nurseries around Japan by various Nissan offices
and distributors. This picture book is also being utilized by 1,380 re-
gional branches of the Japan Traffic Safety Association.
Traffic safety video
Nissan has produced a traffic safety video, which is used in approxi-
mately 20 planetariums around Japan and by the Japan Traffic Safety

Reflective safety strap
Nissan has produced safety straps made from reflective materials to
raise visibility during nighttime and twilight hours, which are distributed
by the Japan Traffic Safety Association.

When educating children about traffic safety, the important thing is to repeatedly convey
a simple message .
