Caroline Goodall is Head of Mergers and Acquisitions at Herbert Smith LLP, a major
UK law firm, headquartered in London, with offices in Europe and throughout Asia
and a formal alliance with Gleiss Lutz (Germany) and Stibbe (Netherlands and
Belgium).

Caroline Goodall's practice spans a broad range of corporate work with particular
emphasis on corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions. She has been involved,
as an adviser to both companies and to investment banks, in numerous takeovers,
international mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, flotations, rights issues
and placings. She has also advised on a number of cross-border transactions and
complicated international joint ventures as well as providing strategic advice to
company boards on corporate governance issues.

Caroline has also advised the UK Government (Department of Trade & Industry) on a
number of corporate issues.

Caroline is named as a leading corporate finance lawyer in International Financial
Law Review 1000 (2006 edition) and in Chambers Guide to the UK Legal Profession
2006 and as a leading corporate/M&A lawyer in Chambers Global Guide 2006.

Caroline received an MA from Cambridge University where she was awarded the
Rebecca Flower Squire prize for law. She is an Associate Fellow of Newnham
College, Cambridge where she sits on the Governing Body of the College. She is also
a member of the Securities Regulation in Europe Advisory Committee of the
Practising Law Institute.
