Step One: Develop an exclusive, high quality free incentive to grab the attention of your contacts
This is where we will spend the bulk of our time. This is the most import part of the strategy -- determining what is going to set you apart from other affiliates and give you that advantage that will help increase your sales and profits. Step one, quite obviously, is to develop your incentive. What is it that you want to give away? Determine what it is that you wish to offer as your incentive for making the purchase from YOUR affiliate link. And not just "another free eBook." Good grief, hasn't that been beaten to death already? C'mon, be original. Be YOU -- offer something that can't be found anywhere else. It's got to be "high-quality." No junk. Something that is useful and valuable. Something that the customer would be likely to buy on its own merits, and would be ecstatic to receive for free by making an affiliate purchase. After all, two great products for the price of one is an offer few can resist. What I want to do here is give you some specific examples of WHAT you can offer as an incentive. Here are 9 examples of incentives you can use to pull in more affiliate sales, including some *real* folks who are using these ideas to become top affiliates... 1.1 Graphic Design. Are you handy with the graphic design software? Why not offer a free graphic design to anyone making a purchase of one of our Big Selling Products through YOUR affiliate link. Watch this. This is cool. Find a PLR site that offers monthly ebooks. Nicheology is one that would work. Nicheology, as you may already know, is a monthly membership site that provides a new product each month for its members to sell and keep 100% of their earnings, among other things. A reason for someone to purchase S.A.L.E.S. A.R.M.Y. Secrets through YOUR affiliate link instead of another affiliate's link. How about offering a free solo mailing to your entire list? Or, an endorsement mailing? Or, an entire package of advertising (you could realistically offer a free package of ads IF the product had a large enough commission to justify it) You simply offer free advertising to anyone who purchases a particular product or service that you are promoting. Let them promote whatever ad they choose. Unless your advertising stays booked up -- most ezine publishers don't have that luxury -- then it's a good use of your space. You earn a quick commission and you offer a valuable incentive to your customers. Everyone wins. Or, how about the reverse of this idea: Let's suppose that you sell top sponsor ads to your ezine for $40.00, but you and I both know that sales aren't that great for your ezine ads. In fact, you haven't sold one in months. How about this offer... "Want a FREE copy of any $40.00 eBook online? For the next five folks who order a top sponsor ad in my ezine, I'll buy you a copy of ANY eBook of your choosing up to $40.00 in value. Order your ad, send me the website address of the eBook you want and I'll buy it in your name and send you the download details." Do you see what happened there? You used free advertising to increase your sales. You buy the $40.00 eBook through YOUR affiliate link at whatever website the customer provides you with -- probably earning you a 50% commission (most eBooks offer a 50/50 split on profits). So, you still earn $20.00 on ad space that was just sitting there otherwise. Free advertising is a great incentive to get folks to buy through your affiliate link. And, it doesn't just have to be ezine advertising. What about banner ads or guaranteed visitors? You find a program that offers 10,000 guaranteed visitors for $19.95 and you offer that as a free incentive. Let me show you how easy this is... Let's say you are promoting Armand Morin's Sales Letter Generator as I mentioned earlier. You earn around $35.00 per sale. That's the idea of "incentive marketing." An unfair advantage. An exclusive offer. Work with some higher-priced products that pay you $100.00 or more in commissions per sale and you can see how this could add up to a nice chunk of change. But, there's more... 1.3 A Service. I already mentioned graphic design in a separate category, simply because a great many people have this talent (or can easily arrange for it) and it is in such demand. However, graphic design isn't the only service incentive you can offer. How about these... * Proofreading / Editing. Everyone who does business online needs a proofreader. Everyone. Whether it is to proofread a sales letter or an ezine article or a solo mailing or a full-length eBook, we ALL need someone to check for grammatical and typographic errors. Are you able to proofread for others? Then, why not offer that as a FREE service for folks who order a product through your affiliate program link? Think of all the products you can promote and offer your proofreading as a free bonus incentive ------> Any product or service that requires the user to write a single word! That's a lot of options. * Review. Do you have valuable experience in critiquing materials? Why not use that as a freebie to those who purchase through your reseller link? Offer a free critique of the completed sales letter for anyone who purchases Sales Letter Generator through your link. Or, offer to review someone's completed eBook if they order Small Reports Fortune through your referral. You can offer advice for the first 4 issues of a new ezine, if the publisher buys a copy of List Profit System by clicking on your affiliate link. See how this works? You can apply it to dozens of different product offers by reviewing things like sales letters, classified ads, solo mailings, webpages, eBooks, reports, eCourses, newsletters, proposals, contracts, etc. * Setup. One of the biggest challenges facing many folks online deals with setting up things. Either they don't have the time or they don't have the knowledge. Here's where you come in. If someone buys a product through your referral, then you set things up for them. If they order hosting, then you could upload their webpage files and verify their order links. If they order an autoresponder service, then you can ensure that their messages are formatted properly. If they order a javascript, then you can insert it into their HTML code for them. The possibilities here are unlimited. The great thing about providing a free service for someone is the fact that the only thing you are really investing is your time. Which means, you would be trading time for commissions earned from your special offer. Most folks would gladly trade an hour of their lives for $25.00 - $50.00 in commissions earned. Think about the *potential* here. You begin making a service offer -- doing something you enjoy doing anyway -- and folks start taking you up on it. You spend a few hours

What happens when your offer becomes more and more mainstream and you begin making it for more and more affiliate programs and you have more and more people accepting your incentive and ordering through your affiliate program. It could lead into a full-time position of providing the services and skyrocketing your affiliate income. Let's say that you average working 60 minutes per sale -- it would only take 35-40 sales per week to become full-time status. And 35-40 sales X $25-$50.00 commission per sale = A potential of $2,000 / week or a bonafide six-figure income online each year through affiliate programs...simply because you began offering a service. Now, I realize that those numbers sound far-fetched. So does earning $200,000 a year with $19.97 eBooks, but that's a reality for me. So, don't let the *potential* seem unreachable. Is it realistic to expect such numbers. Probably not. But, let's say you earned half of that or 1/4 of that... most folks FAIL online, so earning $25,000 a year working part-time, doing something you enjoy would be a tremendous success. The point I want to make is this: the opportunity is here. If you can provide a service, then there is no reason why you can't earn greater affiliate commissions because of it. I can't promise you a certain dollar amount of income and I won't give you unrealistic expectations. The average person won't see this thing through. And they won't see anything but average commission checks. If you want above average income in affiliate marketing, then you've got to be an above average affiliate. And that means applying the things you learn -- and sticking to it. The *potential* is here. Few will grasp it. But, those that do will pull in a decent income doing something they love doing. And that is precisely the goal. Sorry, I don't mean to give you the "rah-rah" cheerleading speech. I'm not a coach and I don't deliver motivational speeches. OK, so maybe I do deliver them. And maybe this is the perfect time for one. Got a quick minute? Let me tell you a story. I play golf. I love it. And for a long time, I kind of hovered around the 100 stroke mark. Not bad for a beginner, but I knew that I could do better. I was just having trouble improving on the score.

We were about 100 yards out and I was praying that I could get a good shot up onto the green. My friend looked at me and asked, "What are you going to aim at when you take this next swing?" I looked at him like he was an idiot. "Duh, I'm going to aim at the green. What did you think I'm going to aim at, the cotton field over there?" He grinned and then said, "You're aiming at the wrong thing." He went on to tell me that what I should be aiming at is the hole. I was astounded. My entire thought process was to aim at the green. You know, that big target that I somehow always seemed to miss. But, hitting the green isn't the object of the game. The object of the game is to get it in the hole. Why should I aim at something that wasn't the ultimate goal? I started aiming at the hole. Within 2 months, I had shaved my score from around 100 to AVERAGING in the mid 80's. My best score is now an 82 and I'm making improvements every time I head to the course. The point is this: you're probably aiming at the wrong thing. Most affiliates publish the classified ads provided by their affiliate manager a couple of times and then they move on to the next product-of-the-month to promote. If they are really aggressive, the average affiliate posts a nifty piece of clipart to their website (usually a provided banner from the affiliate manager -- just like every other good little affiliate should do...I hope you sense the sarcasm there :o). Or, they network with a few close friends and neighbors. Something like that. They spend, on average, less than 5 hours of total time invested in building their affiliate income... ..and then they wonder why the profits don't come rolling in. Sorry, they're aiming at the green and not the hole. Super affiliates aim for the hole. How do you do that? By following exactly what I am telling you here. Do something different!!! Separate yourself from the other affiliates. Say that with me out loud "I will separate myself from other affiliates." Stop right there.

Stop right there and analyze that statement carefully and let it sink in -- "I will separate myself from other affiliates." You ARE going to be different. You are going to give yourself an advantage over other affiliates. You are going to do something they aren't doing, offer something they aren't offering... ...and profit in ways they aren't profiting! It's time you start aiming at the hole, instead of the green. And the lesson we are learning today is to offer an incentive. Got it? Rah-rah, go team. Pep talk is over. Let's move on. A service of some kind is a great incentive to boost sales. proofreading, editing, graphic design, webpage creation, setup, etc. etc. What do you do well? How can you provide it as a free service? Get started. 1.4 Cash Rebate. My, my, my -- how the ideas fly when I think of this incentive. This one is like Campbell's soup... Mmm. Mmm. Good! I was actually first clued-in to this incentive just a few short months after I graduated high school many years ago. There was a hot new MLM company on the rise -- I won't mention any names. :o) And a guy that I graduated with came over to my new apartment and wanted me to jump in the network in his downline. He ranted and raved about the benefits of the program and how much money I could make and how this was going to be the one to grab our fortunes in. He also mentioned that it cost $297.00 in order to join. It always tickles me when I find people wanting to charge ME money in order to promote THEIR products. But, anyway... ...I didn't have $297.00 for this sales kit and sample products and all that stuff. I was fresh out of high school, just got my first apartment and was in the first few months of adjusting to college life. So, I didn't have the $297.00 in order to join. And let me tell you the truth here, it wasn't because we were old high school buddies and he wanted to cut me a break. It was because he was willing to invest in me on the front end, knowing that he'd earn his investment back and then some in just a short amount of time. You see, if I joined and then recruited anyone else into the program, he would earn $100.00 per person that I recruited when they ordered their $297.00 kit. All he needed was for me to find three willing folks and his investment was returned. And then the money would really work for him. He would earn a monthly commission on the things I bought each month AND a monthly commission on the things the folks I recruited bought each month and all new distributor kits and membership fees and monthly dues for 7 levels deep for every soul that came into his downline through me. That initial $297.00 investment in me is looking pretty good now, huh? What a tremendous, tremendous incentive -- and a tremendous, tremendous way to get new sales from hesitant folks, because you are taking their risk away. You are removing their excuse and providing them with a no-brainer safety net. Let's apply this tactic online by giving you some real life examples. You'll find that this particular strategy is especially effective in promoting MONTHLY fee-based programs such as eBook clubs, hosting, autoresponders, tracking tools, etc. I know of a super affiliate right now who is offering this: He is involved in a monthly program that provides a fresh new eBook that members can sell with reprint rights. He earns $20.00 per month, per customer he refers. It costs the customer $29.97 to join. Here is what he does... He offers to reimburse the first month's fees to anyone who joins the program through his affiliate link. That is, he sends them the entire $29.97 back to the new member. $20.00 of that was his commission and the other $9.97 comes from his own pocket. So, he's down $9.97 in investment for the new member. BUT, when month two rolls around and the customer stays in the program, this super affiliate earns his $20.00 commission... ...and is now UP $10.03 for the new member. And now he's going to earn $20.00 per month for as long as the member remains active! Which could be one more month or it could be years. Tremendous opportunity. ______________________________________________ SIDEBAR: Learn this truth about MONTHLY fee-based programs...the majority of folks are hesitant about joining additional programs or services that require ongoing fees. The reason is because people are reluctant to make a commitment for more monthly expenditures. Their reason to be online as a netrepreneur is to EARN MONEY not to SPEND MONEY. That's a big stumbling block to overcome. It doesn't matter how "valuable" the offer is, a lot of folks just won't part with their money on an ongoing basis without some convincing. You convince them by removing their excuse, by eliminating their risk... ...by offering a ZERO COST TO THEM opportunity to test drive the product or service that you are promoting. That's what the "cash rebate" category of incentive marketing is all about. ________________________________________________ The idea is to offer an incentive that makes it risk-free for your contacts to make a purchase. You take the risk going in, hoping it will pay off in the next month... ..and beyond. It's the perfect incentive for folks promoting any product or service that is billable monthly. You get them into the program at no charge to them -- they get hooked and decide to stay with the program -- you earn income for as long as they remain active. Nice system. Here's a classic example: GetResponse is the preferred autoresponder for most online marketers. With an GetResponse membership, you receive unlimited autoresponder accounts. An unbelievable offer in itself. The affiliate program pays a recurring commission per month on two levels for every new customer you refer. So, here’s how you apply this cash rebate incentive. You offer to pay a portion of the first month's fees for anyone who joins GetResponse through your affiliate link. If the customer stays for the next month, they pay and you earn your commission. Here's why this particular program is such a smooth one for incentive marketing... ...few folks quit after the first month. Why? Firstly, because it is such an incredible system and offers so much for such a small fee. It would almost be foolish to cancel the darn thing for tools that every netrepreneur uses.

If they refer a few members, then their own monthly fee is canceled out in commissions. So, why quit something that isn't costing you anything. Finally, and most importantly it's too much trouble to quit. They have their autoresponder messages imported into the system. They have leads who have subscribed to their mailing lists. They have input their subscription forms on their webpages. They have began advertising. It would be a great big hassle to move all of that to some other system, and it would be darn near insane to simply cancel the account and lose all of that. So, they stay, as you and I would stay. I'll be honest with you, I'd rather pay the fee each month than to go to the hassle of moving it somewhere else, even if someone was offering the entire package for half the price. Once things are in place, we simply don't like to move them. That's why folks seldom change hosting companies, as well. They've loaded all of their files and they are comfortable with the service and so they rarely leave. And you have income pouring in month after month because of INCENTIVE MARKETING. You take away their risk on the front end, they love it and begin profiting from it themselves and have invested their time and energy into setting things up…and they stay with ya! There are many ideas on how you can work this idea into your affiliate marketing... * Pay the first month's membership dues. * Cover any setup fee costs. (I.E. some hosting packages have a one-time setup fee) * Pay for any enrollment or evaluation fees. (I.E. Weight loss programs) * Cover the cost of shipping and handling. (I.E. If it is a tangible good) * Pay for the reproduction charges. (I.E. Cassettes, CDs, manuals, etc.) * Cover any certification tuitions. (I.E. If they require specialized training to participate) * Pay any annual renewal fees for life. (I.E. Some programs require a small yearly fee) We could go on and on here if we wanted to. The point again is to make it RISK-FREE for the potential customer. Why should they order through your affiliate link instead of someone else's? Because it's not going to cost them anything if they order through YOU! There's your advantage.

In the overwhelming majority of cases, the folks who join through these risk-free offers remain active for, on average, 5 months. That's AVERAGE. I've got many folks on my Host4Profit hosting clientele list who have been with me over a year now... ...and they show no signs of quitting anytime soon. That's income that lands in my checking account every month without a bit of additional work on my part. I do NOTHING but cash the checks when they come in. Is this kind of incentive an advantage? I say "yes" every time I walk into my bank. Actually, it's more like "Yes!!!" as I jump in the air and click my heels together. :o) You get the idea. Remove the risk and you'll add more customers to your list. And more monthly income to your bank account. 1.5 Free Products. This idea is related to the previous one, except it works with just about any affiliate program offer, not exclusively for recurring billing programs. The idea here is the "up-the-ante" by adding value to an affiliate program offer. You didn't really think the "offer" was based on what the affiliate program product or service itself is, did you? Learn this truth right here ----> Affiliate program success isn't up to the guy at the top, it's up to YOU. You are the wheels that turn the big machine. You are the fuel that keeps the motor running. You are the one in charge of your success or failure. Don't ever forget that. The offer that the owner of the affiliate program places on the table doesn't have to be the one that arrives in front of the eyes of your contacts. Remember, you want an advantage. You don't want your contacts to see the same thing that every other affiliate's contacts see. You are going to be different, because you have an incentive. Same affiliate program product or service -- different offer. You see, when someone buys XYZ product through your affiliate link, they are going to get something more than just the XYZ product. You will have put together an exclusive free product that raises the value of the purchase, thereby changing the offer entirely.

You've got several options... * Live chat sessions. You can hold once a week training sessions live via a chat room at any of a gazillion places online. Visit your favorite search engine and search for "chat' to find a whole slew of options. Why not provide ongoing training sessions that are exclusively available for those who buy through your referral? This is especially helpful for folks who are wanting to buy and sell eBooks with reprint rights -- you can provide weekly strategies for building their businesses, covering different topics each week. NOTE: This would also be a great forum for recommending other affiliate programs as you mention specific needs. * Messenger services. With MSN Messenger and Yahoo and ICQ and an entire fleet of other "live" services, you can be available to answer questions for your customers on an "as-needed" basis. When you are online and can answer questions -- simply turn your messenger system on and they can contact you with help issues. * Email consultation. Another great way to provide consultation is to allow your customers to email you with any questions that they might have. They send their questions and you respond with an answer. * Telephone. Last but not least, I know folks who actually provide a telephone number for their customers to contact them anytime they have questions. These tend to be folks who are promoting high-ticket items, but it could apply to any product or service. Sure, a lot of these are support related issues that the owner of the product or service will provide. HOWEVER, nothing adds value quicker to an offer than for the potential customer to know that YOU are there for them anytime they need you -- that they have someone they know they can turn to if they need some guidance. You'll find that this can add a lot of CREDIBILITY to the offer and take away some of the hesitancy that many people have. And, from my experience, the number of folks who actually take advantage of your training isn't a very large percentage. It DOES add a tremendous value to the offer, though. Just to have the reassurance that a safety net is there, a helping hand is there -- is exactly what some folks are looking for. Don't want to deal with folks one-on-one? No problem. Why not offer some training MATERIALS (instead of training SUPPORT) as your incentive... * Email tutorials. You can offer a free weekly newsletter that is exclusively for folks who buy a specified product through your referral. This would include ongoing answers to frequently asked questions, helpful hints and new ideas for using the product or service they ordered. Or, you could even have the entire thing professionally duplicated at under $3.00 per compact disc. Do you see any other affiliates offering compact disc audio training? Hmmmm. * Video tutorials. Taking it to the ultimate training incentive would be a video tutorial. It's a fact that people learn the best and the quickest if they can SEE someone actually walking them through the steps. It's much easier to duplicate something if you can visualize it, as opposed to reading about it or hearing it explained. Screen cam videos created with software such as Camtasia, are becoming more and more popular online. Download times are a bit slow for most folks because the files are usually quite large, but with compression becoming much better and internet connection speeds increasing, video is definitely the choice of the future. I know what you're thinking. No, I'm not a psychic. I don't have a crystal ball and I can't see into the future. But, I CAN read your mind. If you're like most folks, you're thinking "Write a sales letter for something I'm GIVING AWAY?" with kind of a puzzled look on your face. You betcha. You are going to write a sales letter for your free incentive as if it were a product you were selling instead of giving away. Stay with me now, because this is INCREDIBLY important. Here's where most folks make their big mistake with incentives. They develop a decent enough freebie and then they blow it by putting a tiny blurb on their webpage that briefly mentions its availability. Learn this ------> You don't need a blurb on a webpage to promote your incentive...you need a webpage to promote your incentive! That's right a full page that does nothing but promote your incentive. Every responseproducing sales letter begins with a response-producing headline. Do you see a pattern here? Your sales letter is dependent upon your headline. Your sales letter either gets some attention from the visitor, or it doesn't -- and the headline determines which of those it is. Your headline's purpose is singular -- to grab the attention of your visitor enough to compel them to read further. That's it. Nothing more, nothing less -- your headline should grab the attention of your visitor so they read more of your sales letter. The easiest way to accomplish this is to write a headline that piques the curiosity. Something that the reader will glance at and think to themselves, "I've got to find out more" or "What in the world is this all about?" Now, what you DON'T want to do is be UNBELIEVABLE. I don't care if you really can show me how to lose 100 pounds in 3 days -- I don't believe that. By using hype and promises that are far-fetched, you'll immediately lose credibility with your visitor. And lost credibility means lost sales. You want to be curiosity-building and attention-grabbing -- but not unrealistic. So, for our example that we're working on -- his incentive -- what headline did he choose? Let's take a look...

How's that for a headline? Do you see all of the pertinent information that is supplied in this headline? "Giving Away" -- Let's the visitor know from the beginning that there is something free awaiting. It also helps to put the visitor at ease a bit because they think "free" instead of "how much". "$297.00 8-Cassette Email Marketing Set" -- We have established a value of the freebie here, and is it a whopper! Sometimes putting a price in the headline can be risky because folks tend to overestimate the value of their "free" stuff. How many times have you seen "Free Newsletter, $97.00 Value" on websites these days? Is it really worth $97.00? Probably not. So, if you are going to use an actual price, make it accurate. In

You want your headline to convince the visitor to read on. And if you can create a bit of urgency, the better it is. Limits and deadlines are great to use in headlines -- just make sure they are *real* and not something you just made up to create urgency. "Who say 'Yes'" -- Now, we've got them reading on for certain. After all, who reads that headline and doesn't wonder to themselves, "Say 'yes' to what?" The visitor will most certainly continue on into the sales letter at this point, if for no other reason than to find out what it is that they must respond to with a "yes" in order to receive the $297.00 cassette set. Congratulations are in order. The headline has successfully done its job. That's the basic idea of what you want to accomplish with your headline. You want the visitor to be compelled to read on into your actual sales letter. Feel free to modify the example headline in any way you want to produce your own. It's a great template for simply plugging in your own details. What about some other examples? Notice some important aspects about this subhead that you'll want to weave into your own incentive sales letter.. Involvement. Notice the "get your hands" there? That's involvement. The headline says "to the next 25 folks". The subhead says "you're one of them." Get it? This sub headline INVOLVES the reader in the offer itself. It allows them to know that the message is not only for them, but it goes one step further to plant the early seed "you are going to take advantage of this offer." Emphasis. Next, you read "on a completely free set of cassettes that others are gladly shelling out hundreds to purchase". What does that do? It emphasizes what the headline has already stated. It reminds the reader it's "completely free" and further establishes the offer for the cassettes. It also plants another seed -- "Others have paid for these cassettes, but YOU aren't going to -- you can get a copy for free." Commitment. The subhead closes with "by doing one simple thing." A couple of key things are accomplished here with this closing. First, the commitment level is introduced. What's it gonna take in order to get the 8-cassettes for free? "One simple thing." More and more pressure is taken off of the reader. This isn't going to be hard, is it? Secondly, it continues to build upon the curiosity factor of the headline. WHAT is that "one simple thing"? Of course, to find out, they gotta keep reading. When you can combine involvement, emphasis and commitment level into your sub headline, then you can just about guarantee they'll continue to read into your sales letter with more and more anticipation. And, it's relatively easy to combine those three by just answering a question that relates to each...

How can I restate the headline's main offer by using a different set of words? Commitment. In the simplest of terms, what are the requirements for getting my free incentive? And with that, you are into your... Ingredient 3 >> Opening paragraph.

It happens without fail. If there is one thing that you can count on happening over and over and over again, it is this simple fact... ...the average person's curiosity will get the best of them. One of the things that will, at a minimum, get your readers into the actual meat of your sales letter is to suck them in with a hypnotic first sentence. You just read a great example (in my opinion :o) of how this is done. Go back and re-read the opening sentence of this "ingredient"... ..."It happens without fail." Voila. From the very first sentence, I had your attention. If not for long, for at least a few seconds, you were going to read on. Why? Because you wanted to know WHAT "happens without fail." You wanted to find out what the "one thing that you can count on happening over and over again" is. So, you kept reading. Right? (That and the fact that you paid $19.97 for the course and want to get your money's worth :o) I could have played that along as far as I wanted to, and within reason, you would have kept reading until I finally revealed what it was that I referred to in that opening sentence. The power of curiosity is very compelling. People want to know. It is almost hypnotic, like waving a watch before someone's eyes and saying, "Look at the watch go back and forth, back and forth, back and forth." If you can use some kind of hypnotic opening sentence and / or opening paragraph to make the reader think, "I've got to find out what this is all about" then you've got them glued to your sales letter for basically as long as you want. (Provided you keep them interested once you've piqued their interest!) Consider using these kinds of opening sentences that draw people deeper into your hypnotic trance... Notice it continues upon the themes set forth in the headline and subhead, while adding more fuel to the urgency fire. But, the *really* good part is the "In fact, there's a slight chance it may already be too late." Bingo. She's going to continue reading for certain. "Am I too late? Have I missed this opportunity. I've got to find out." The next paragraph quickly sets the table for what is about to come. It also gives a website link to the actual cassette sales letter. This is important for a couple of reasons.. Firstly, it allows the reader to verify that the $297.00 price tag associated with this cassette set isn't inflated. It's a real offer. Legitimate. No cubic zirconias here -- this is a genuine diamond. :o) Secondly, the URL leads the visitor to the existing sales letter which will explain the cassette set in G-R-E-A-T detail. The more they are convinced and overwhelmed by the benefits of the set, the more likely they are to accept the offer that is awaiting them. So, that's what YOU want to do with your incentive offer. Ingredient 4 >> Bulleted list. The next thing you want to do -- and where it really makes or breaks your offer -- is to launch into a bulleted list of benefits. They key word being BENEFITS. A "benefit" is simply that -- something that is beneficial to the reader. What they get out of the offer. How your incentive will help them, be profitable to them, make things easier for them. In other words, the answer to the age old question... "What's in it for me?" You'll want to list what you consider to be the 10-15 most important benefits to the reader in a "bulleted" list. You've got them in your sights now, so fire away with your best shots. Give them the best stuff, the most important benefits to them. Make sure you focus on the BENEFITS to the reader and not the FEATURES of your product. No one cares about your grass seed, they just care about their lawn. Unfortunately, many websites look like this kind of sales rep. The layout resembles either a shabbily dressed salesman or they go overboard and look like a rep who is wearing a Halloween costume. The graphics load slowly, like someone 30 minutes late for a meeting. The sales letter is filled with typographical and grammatical errors, and it has no flow from one paragraph to the next. Oooh! Looks like mustard stains! The appearance of your website is critical to the success or failure of your online business. It must...

Have a professional layout design that is pleasing to the eyes. Use bulleted lists (like the one you are now reading) to change your layout. Change the style to emphasize certain words and phrases in bold and italics and underline. Don't forget to use lots of white space. Use shaded backgrounds and / or bordered boxes to highlight important information such as testimonials and research. Headlines should be noticeably larger and centered on your page in order to attract attention. The presentation of your offer is just as important as the offer itself. You can have the best deal going on the net, but if your site looks like a third grader designed it, no one will take you seriously enough to check out your offer. Be quick-loading, free of any graphics that make visitors wait for an extended period of time. (Most of us are VERY impatient and won't wait long) The kiss of death is a slow-loading site that has lots of plug-ins and special features that require special software to be able to view. Resist the temptation to get too clever with these extras. Instead, focus on a quick-loading page that is professionally designed with attractive graphics. Be typographicaly and grammatically accurate. Maybe you noticed it. Maybe you didn't. But, someone will. The word "typographically" is misspelled above. It says "If this person can't at least proofread his offer, how valuable can the offer be?" Check your content no less than 5 times. After all, they wouldn't have requested the information from you if they weren't at least somewhat interested. It is from this group of people that you will be able to convert the greatest number of sales. Secondly, it allows you to follow-up in the future. Because you have that email address of your visitor, you can contact them in the future to follow-up on the report they requested and make additional offers. Only with a PPC engine, advertisers PAY in order to be ranked highly in these listings. Each time someone clicks on their listing in the search, they are debited the predetermined fee from their account.
