Praying Prompts for Children (of all ages)
My number one prayer request: for my child to know Jesus Christ as his/her personal savior, and to
develop a relationship with Christ that changes him/her from the inside out.
For those around him/her For my child’s emotional, physical and spiritual
Friends: bring good ones close and keep health and growth
dangerous ones away He/she would know their value and worth,
For the families of friends: solid marriages, and see themselves as blessings
safe homes Wisdom in choices
Teachers: Assign the ones who will bring Discernment: especially with people
good to my child (whatever that looks like), Peace & contentment
Adult volunteers (church, school, clubs) Obedience with respect (to parents, those
Athletic coaches/teachers in authority and ultimately God)
Neighbors To listen well (to others and God’s voice)
For God to bring people into my child’s life Minds open to learn what is good
who will speak truth and encouragement They would see God work through
For a circle of protection around my child, answered prayers
and for them to get caught when they stray Courage: to deal with difficulty
For times with people who don’t share my For God to bless and expand their unique
values and faith gifts and talents
To be who God is calling him/her to be
For His Kingdom Persevere
To be a light in the darkness Accept learning challenges
Hunger for the things of God Self-control (and other fruits of the spirit –
Love for God’s Word Galatians 5:22-23)
To be friends with Jesus Commitment to purity
Confidence & conviction: To stand firm for
God, to do the right thing when others

Commitment to protect the weak and To not gossip
vulnerable To speak only that which is loving and kind
