will be a $10.00 per head registration fee that will not only register you to fish (you
still need a license), but also it will enter you into thousands of dollars worth of
prizes. We also intend on having our famous HOT DOG wagon there for hot food
and drink. There will also be several raffles being sold.

The Bangor Lions Club is again offering Gourmet Books for 2009. They
make great Christmas gifts / Stocking stuffers. The Gourmet book is a
booklet of coupons to 22 local restaurants. Each ticket/coupon entitles the
owner of the book to one free meal when used in conjunction with the purchase
of a meal of equal or greater value. Some of the restaurants include Captain
Nick’s, City Park Grille, Geaghan’s Restaurant, HOLLYWOOD SLOTS, The
Lucerne Inn, Opus, Oriental Jade, Governor’s as well as others. Each book is $20 so even with the use of
just one coupon, one is likely to recoup their investment. If there is some individuals in other clubs
interested obtaining a booklet for their own use or as a gift, they can call (207) 262-2530 or e-mail us at

WHAT IS YOUR CLUB DOING? LET THE DISTRICT KNOW!

CAMDEN LIONS CLUB

Dear District 41 Lions,

Please let me introduce myself: I am Lion Miss Judi (Simonton) from the Camden Lions Club (and
proud of it !) I hasten to get a little note in our Newsletter, so here goes:

At our October 21st meeting in our clubhouse on Lions Lane, there were 46 (yes, count ‘em, 46) present
including 26 Little League Championship team, coaches, and family; two Lions from N. Whitefield and
the Hon. District Governor Buzzell of Casco. The room was abuzz with catching up and goings-on; there
were many hungry appetites back for seconds of nutritious food. Little League Championship Team
Coach John Wickenden introduced his players and presented the Championship Trophy to King Lion
Peter Martin with thanks for the Camden Lions Club sponsorship again this year.

Camden Lions welcomed Governor Buzzell who spoke on processing Hearing Aids & Glasses,
Membership, Camp Sunshine, Lions Newsletter, Annual Convention with questions & answers to
follow.

A business meeting ended the evening with reminders for November and December project dates and
sign-up sheets distributed.

That’s all for now, District 41 Lions AND I APPROVE THIS MESSAGE !!

Lion Miss Judi
