							              BEVERLY WOODS LEGO CLUB

We are starting a Lego Club at Beverly Woods! Legos promote
engineering, math and problem solving skills.

Who: Our club is open to all students in grades 2-5, but space in limited. Participation
will be determined by lottery. Complete the attached registration form and return to
Mr. Menkin by Friday, February 19. Lottery results will be e-mailed to you Friday
afternoon.

What: We worked with Lego Education to design a fun and educational program that will
build on itself. We will start this spring with Crazy Contraptions and Simple Machines.

When/Where: Thursday afternoons from 1:50 – 3:00, April 15 – May 20 in the
Technology Lab and Interactive Lab.

Coaches: Teachers Ms. Cartiff and Mr. Menkin and parents Liz Daniel and Shana Plott

Cost: The cost for students in grades 3-5 is $70 per student*; cost for students in
grade 2 is $50 per student*. Checks should be made to Beverly Woods.

Other information: Parents and students are required to attend an informational
meeting on Friday, February 26 at 7:00 am in the media center. We will provide more
information about the program, answer questions and discuss behavior expectations.
Dues must be paid at this time.
