Tuan Gerard Math Lee Min: To ask the Minister of trade and Industry: (I) Why is there a necessa,ty to establish a national committee on Multilateral Trade Negotiations (MTN); (ii) what is the cost an setting up and maintaining MTN; and (iii) how successful has MTN been so far. *3. Tuan Ha 'i Bu 'an bin Ha 'i Ulis: To ask the Prime Minister to state in view of the fact that of late the security of the Haj pilgrims whilst performing the Haj in the Holy Land is far from insured:- (a) the security measures being undertaken by Goverment to ensure the safety of our pilgrims; (b) whether our Government has discussed with the Saudi Arabian Government on the matter; (c) the assurance given by the Saudi Arabian Government; and (d) the assurance by OIC, the United Nations and other world bodies with regard to the safety of Haj pilgrims as a wholeo *4. Tuan H aji Hussein bin Ha ' i Taib: To ask the Minister of Agriculture to state , after successfully launching the off shore Tuna Fishing Joint Venture project with the Thailand Prime Minister in Kuantan recently:- (a) whether Malaysian intends to hold mutual discussions and projects with Government of the Philippines and Indonesia in respect of offshore fishing in the waters of Sabah and Sarawak (b) whether the launching of this project will overcome the problems of isolation by Thai fishermen in the territorial waters of Malaysia especially the Economic Exclusive Zone. *18. Tuan Ting Chek Ming : To ask the Minister of Home Affairs to state the number of illegal Indonesians immigrants who have been repatriated . Why has the Ministry failed to check on the illegal Indonesian immigrants. State what measures have been taken to stop the illegal Indonesians from entering the country and to deport them. *19. Than Chua Jul Meng: To ask the Prime Minister to state whether the Government intends to elevate the status of the National Unity Department to that of a Ministry of National Unity, in view of the increasing tension and racial polarisation. *20 . Tuan N ai Thiam woh : To ask the Min i ster of Agriculture to state:- (i ) how the deep - sea fishing joint venture project between Malaysia and Thailand will benefit Malaysia; (ii) the assurance by the Ministry to ensure that the Thai Authority will adhere to all the conditions contained in the said joint- venture project agreement; (iii) why only 10% of the shares is allotted to the Malaysian Off shore fishing Corporation Sdn.Bhd ., a NEKMAT owned company; and . (iv) whether there are shares held by certain companies which belonged to political parries or politicians in K & I industries; if so , to give further details. *21. Dr , TinChew Peh: To ask the Minister of Education to state according to the provision in the Education Act 1961, children would be taught according to the wishes of their parents and the Minister concerned is responsible for the establishment and maintenance of all primary schools . Whether the Minister will fulfil the aspiration of parents of Chinese and Indian descent who wish to home their children educate in SRJK ( C) and SRJK(T) but in specific places, especially in new housing estates occupied by hundreds of Malaysians of Chinese and Indian descent and these places have no SRJK ( C) and SRJK(T)e *23. Tuan Lim Guan Eng: To ask the Prime Minister to state (a) how many workers at the Sungai Lembing tin mine, Pahang who are in need of assistance, how much money owed •y Pahang Consolidated Company and to extent they have been successful in obtaining their claim to state its total; (b) whether the Government has any plan to save and takeover tin mines and if not, why; (ci) what minor economic projects have been implemented for these tin miners to seek other livelihood; and (d) how much money has been granted by Government to each tin miners and when the Government will provide them with assistance, *27. Patto: To ask the Minister of Home Affairs to state in view of the Government willingness to grant permanent resident status in Malaysia to Fandi Ahmad the Singapore football ace for his contribution towards the development of sports in the country, to state whether the Government will grant the same status to the hockey or cricket players from India, basketball players frog the Philippines or the People's Republic of China or Taiwan as well as sepaktakraw players from Thailand, if not, why. *2R.
