As of December 2011, the company served 822,466 retail customers and added 1,790 new retail customers. PGE is headquartered in Portland, the US. The company designed a four year strategy focused on acquiring new resources, and a 20 year strategy focused on outlining long term expenditures for resource needs and portfolio performance. The company projects that it needs approximately 873 MW of new resources by 2015 to meet the customer demand. In September 2011, the company announced its 2020 plan for the Boardman Power Plant.
