ADJECTIVES DESCRIBING WORDS
Adjectives are words that help us to describe people, places or things.
They can tell us what something is like or how many things there are.
Look at the box. Write out the sentences, putting in the best words.
Exercise A
These words are adjectives. See if you can fit them into the sentences
under the box.

Here are some more adjectives. See if you can match them up
with their opposites. e.g. sad / happy
boiling sweet
fast freezing
stupid kind

cheeky damp

Exercise C
Now choose 5 of the words and write a sentence for each
one. e.g. David used the boiling water to make the tea.
Exercise D
Look at the pictures and see if you can think of an adjective to
describe each one.
