Group 3 ~ Entertainment ~
What Will We Do For Fun?
Your group will also have two functions that you may divide and complete anyway you see fit. The first thing your group will do is to search your
resources and determine what types of music will be appropriate for the wedding reception. You are to prepare a song list including song titles, composers, and lyrics. You should also provide a CD with 2-4 minutes of appropriate music. (Design a jewel case for the CD.) After you compile the music you have to get your guests moving to burn off those party calories. Search your resources to compile a list of games, activities, dances and fun for your party-goers. Choose 3 popular games and design a Rule Book to pass out to all of your guests. (Teach us one game ~ Check with the head wedding planner to OK your choice of game.) Don’t forget this isn’t just fun & games, we’re attending the wedding of the century. A wedding that celebrates the coming together of the “starcrossed lovers,” SO we need some poetry. Love poetry. Choose a love poem to be performed by a troubadour.

Your final task as wedding planners will be to choose one of Shakespeare’s plays that will be performed toward the end of the evening. You need to read brief summaries of his works to help you choose an appropriate play to be performed at the reception. (Remember, Will wrote many comedies & tragedies, but a tragedy is probably not a great choice for a wedding!) Group members will create a playbill to advertise the play, have a court jester introduce the play, and group members will perform a few lines from the play.
