Risk Game
a) Everyone gets a Starburst Candy to begin with as we simulate Risk strategies. Cannot eat candy until
end of game. Just like (DEAL or NO DEAL!!!)
b) Instructor will now ask if anyone would like to ►put their seat belt. If so, you can eat your Starburst
and the game is over for you. If you choose to take a RISK and go without your seat belt your name could be pulled from the box and if selected, you will have just wrecked and died. Draw a name …..…………..If your name was selected……………….“YOU LOOSE ALL YOUR Candy”!
c) Give everyone who is still in the game another Starburst.
►For the person whose name gets pulled, that person and the next RISK person in front of them in their seating chart will DIE. SITUATION: Now you’re driving your vehicle down Hwy 93 in a multi-lane area at approximately 45 mph. You see the light turn from green to yellow and you are still 100 feet from the solid center line before the intersection. If you decide to stop for the intersection, you can keep your candy and the game is over for you. “You have chosen not to take this RISK”. Now draw a name and the game is now over for them and they give up their candies.
d) Give everyone another Starburst who is still in the game.
►Who ever gets drawn, they are dead and they have also just killed two of the closest students from them in class, one from the front and then one to the back. Their two passengers! SITUATION: Now you are driving late at night. You are tired and are very drowsy! There are two passengers in the vehicle with you. If you choose to pull over and take a nap, you can keep your candy and the game is over for you now. If you chose to continue anyway, your RISK could be a huge mistake! You have decided to drive on even though you are dozing off every few seconds. You have just run off the road and crashed into a huge pine tree head on. Do you want to take this risk? Pull a name, figure out who sits in front and back that’s still taking a RISK & Collect the candy from the dead!!! Give another Starburst to everyone still in the game. ►3 from your rear and 3 from your front that are still taking RISKS will die next. SITUATION: Now you are driving your vehicle on a rainy day down a two lane secondary highway and Grandma Frisbee is about five cars ahead of you and no one seems to want to pass. You are late for an appointment and need to get around everyone to make your meeting on time. If your choice is to just stay with the traffic and live to tell about it, keep your candies and the game is over for you. If you decide to take a huge RISK and attempt to pass several cars at a time to get around Grandma Frisbee and others, you then run the RISK of getting in a head on collision along with six additional passengers who are closest to you. A total of seven players will die this round in this horrific crash and will loose everything. Draw name and the game is now over for them and they give up their candies.

f) Give another Starburst to everyone still in the game. “Last Round”
Now you are all at a party that serves alcohol and even though you may not drink alcohol, you have chosen to drink at this party because of peer pressure and your BAC is .20. Each of you has driven to this party with your car or parent’s vehicle. If you chose to call your parent, friend or walk, your game is done for you and you get to keep your candies. If you choose to drive home, you run the RISK of getting into a terrible accident which could involve many fatalities. Draw name, but everyone has died and except for the persons remaining with the lowest and highest number in seating assignments). They get to split the remaining candies as the LUCKIEST RISK TAKERS. EVERYONE else unfortunately has died in the accident.
Was the RISK worth it? “Compare to real life experiences” Think about the percentages! “Gambling with you and others lives” Think about the law of averages! “Your not a cat with 9 lives”
