GoldPlus US Reverse Phone Lookup GoldPlus US Reverse Phone Lookup (USRPL) takes a phone number in a GoldMine record, looks it up in a US phone directory and if listed and found, stores the full US Postal Address in GoldMine. It runs on the main contact record using any of the phone number or fax fields, or on additional contacts using the phone or fax field. It can also lookup all main contacts in a filter/group. The data used is aggregated nightly from US phone companies. Its accuracy is in accordance with the data from the phone companies, which most people recognize as extremely accurate. Unlisted numbers cannot, of course, be looked up but no subscription hits are charged if an address is not found. Just use the appropriate Tools |Plug-ins menu or use the taskbar icon. The address is checked against the database, a full/corrected address shown and then automatically written to the GoldMine record. For example here is a record which might be a lead. Simply activate a filter and/or group to identify the subset, then run the filter/group check. The dialog box lets you select a few simple options, then on clicking Process all addresses in the filter/group are checked and updated. Addresses which cannot be updated can be flagged in a group. Normally GoldPlus USRPL is set up to record in custom fields the date an address was verified and the result. This allows them to be excluded from subsequent checks. Lookups can be done on the main contact record Phone1, Phone2, Phone3 and Fax. A separate function uses phone and fax numbers from additional contacts to lookup an address which is stored in the additional contact record. And that’s the core functionality as seen by most users. The best GoldMine add-ons are seamless from the end user point of view and GoldPlus USRPL is certainly that! A GoldMine Master user can start USRPL in configuration mode. There are very few configuration options given mostly on the GoldMine Primary, GoldMine Additional and Subscription tabs. The GoldMine Primary tab, shown on the right, controls the mapping of primary contact address fields as returned by the Web service into GoldMine. The defaults are almost always fine. The lookup status and lookup date fields can be selected and are particularly useful to ensure that addresses are not repeatedly checked. The GoldMine Additional field is used for similar options for additional contacts. There is really no flexibility in the address field mapping, so just flag fields are shown. We recommend the use of the Ext field for the flags (assuming extension is not normally used) and the reference field for the date, though often you may not need to flag these fields at all. The Subscriptions tab allows a subscription code to be entered and the number of check units remaining shown. A trial account can be requested here and used to evaluate the service. Occasionally proxy server settings may need to be set. These are set using the Proxy Server tab. All settings are stored in a hidden location in the InfoCenter, so are immediately accessible to all users, even those at remote sites (if the InfoCenter is set to sync). Common Questions Will GoldPlus USRPL lookup the address every time I ask? Even if it has been looked up in the last few days? GoldPlus USRPL can store the result and the date of a check in designated fields in the database. When checking single addresses you are asked for confirmation if you want to recheck it. In filter/group mode an option lets you state whether you want to check records which have already been looked up. Does a subscription get charged if the address is not found? No. Can GoldPlus USRPL lookup unlisted phone numbers ? No. Is it guaranteed correct? No. Although updated nightly, phone company records are not always correct. They are generally recognized as being very accurate. Is GoldPlus USRPL sync aware? Yes. All record updates are written in a fully sync aware manner and will sync to other sites/laptops if sync settings are set appropriately. Configuration settings are stored in the InfoCenter, so these will sync to other sites/laptops if the InfoCenter has been set to sync. Makes central management easy! Can GoldPlus USRPL work off line? No. You have to be on the Internet when you run it. However if you know the numbers you will be calling, you can check them in advance. Can GoldPlus USRPL be used in Automated Processes? Yes, the help file explains how. This lets an automated process perform automatic address lookup, for example as part of new lead handling. Licensing and Pricing GoldPlus USRPL is free.
