Smithfield High School Academy of Finance Program — Bryant University

SMITHFIELD HIGH SCHOOL

ABOUT THE PARTNERSHIP The Smithfield High School Academy of Finance program provides high school students the
opportunity to take Bryant University courses. With an emphasis on business and technology, this innovative partnership
introduces high school students to the business world.
Bryant University offers participating students reduced tuition and the ability to earn college credit while fulfilling their high
school requirements. This preview of the college experience encourages students to pursue a post-secondary education. The
program allows students to prepare for college before matriculation, increasing the chance of college success.
The Academy of Finance extends beyond the classroom, offering field trips to Wall Street and the opportunity to attend
off-campus conferences. These activities encourage students to apply what they learn in the classroom to real-world settings.
With a curriculum tailored to Rhode Island’s financial industry, the program prepares students to find work locally.
By providing a head start on a college education, the Smithfield High School Academy of Finance program lays the foundation for
students’ successful business careers.
