University of Florida Study Abroad Semester or Academic Year
The Center for African Studies at the University of
Florida offers students the opportunity to earn HIGHLIGHTS
credits toward their degree while spending a ⇒ Exclusive agreement between University of Florida and
semester or academic year at the University of University of Botswana
Botswana, located in the capital city of Gaborone. ⇒ Classes in taught in English
⇒ Full spectrum of course offerings at all six colleges of
University of Botswana
⇒ In-country orientation course upon arrival to Botswana
⇒ Several excursion trips
COURSE OFFERINGS
Courses are taught in English.
⇒ Students are able to choose among all courses offered
through the six colleges at the University of Botswana
⇒ UF-GPA credit is received.
Eligibility: Participation is limited to UF students in
good standing :
⇒ Undergraduates must have minimum GPA of 2.5
⇒ Graduate students must have GPA of at least 3.0.

⇒ Letters of recommendation are required attesting

UF in Botswana Financial Aid
The program was established to provide students with an University of Florida students needing financial
opportunity to earn college credits for semester or aid should apply through UF Student Financial

As this is a UF exchange program, credits taken
can satisfy major, minor, and university require-
ments with prior approval. UF GPA credit will be
granted for all courses taken at the University of
Botswana.
