The following instructions outline the proper way to setup Enterprise Management
Console (formally called DBA Studio) for use by either static or dynamic classes. The
example shown here is for the account setup of a Database Administration instance -
remote03126. This example was done from an Oracle Desktop; however, the steps are the
same if using the Enterprise Management Console shortcut (found on the Citrix desktop).

1.Start Enterprise Management Console in standalone mode by selecting the Launch
Enterprise Management Console standalone radio button. Click OK.

   2.
Once open, from the menu select Navigator->Add Database To Tree:

  3.
The Add Databases To Tree dialog appears.
a.Select the Add selected databases from your local tnsnames.ora file located
in C:\oracle\ora92\network\admin radio button. All of the databases found
in the tnsnames.ora file will become enabled for selection. By default,
              they are all selected.
b.Click on the small checkbox next to the Service Name header. This will
              deselect all of the databases.
c.Find and select the host string for your database (remote05126.world for this
              example).
          d.Click OK.

NOTE: Student in static classes will select remote.world. You will have enough
privileges to view Oracle Enterprise Manager Console, however many options will
not exist. Do NOT make any changes while viewing remote.world.The Database
Connect Information dialog will appear. NOTE: You may have to 1) right-click and
select Connect or 2) double-click, to bring up the Connect Information box. Enter
your Username and Password information (leaving the Connect as: NORMAL), then
Click OK. The example shown below is for the dynamic account
remote03126.world, and therefore uses sys/oracle and changes the Connect as: to
  SYSDBA as shown. Click OK.
