Tuesday, May 12       Depart for this exciting trip from either New York or Los Angeles for
non-stop overnight flight to Israel via El Al Israel Airlines. Dinner, breakfast and in-flight
entertainment onboard.

Wednesday, May 13         Afternoon arrival at Ben Gurion Airport and transfer to the
picturesque Crown Plaza Hotel in Haifa. Welcome dinner at hotel with orientation and
preview of days to come. Overnight Crown Plaza Hotel in Haifa.

Thursday, May 14 After breakfast, drive by the scenic Bahai Gardens. Continue north to
Ahava Village for Children & Youth in Kiryat Bialik, a Bnai Zion project, to see this
impressive residential center for abused children, which transforms their lives. Return to
Haifa to visit the Bnai Zion Medical Center, our premier project, and enjoy lunch on the
beautiful terrace, take in panoramic views of the north, and hear a guest speaker before
touring the hospital to learn more about its important work. The rest of the afternoon will
be free to explore the charming city of Haifa. Dinner at one of Haifa’s nicest restaurants
followed by a theater outing. Overnight Crown Plaza Hotel in Haifa.

Friday, May 15       After breakfast, the group embarks to Jerusalem, where the first stop
will be a visit to Ma’aleh Adumim, a town of 36,000 several kilometers from the city, and
another BZ project. Hear how Ma’aleh Adumim provides strategic protection for Jerusalem,
learn about its pivotal role in the area, and tour this relatively new community, including a
visit to the Castel Museum, then enjoy a falafel lunch there. After lunch, experience the
bustling Machane Yehuda market in Jerusalem, as residents finish shopping before
Shabbat. Check into the Sheraton Plaza Hotel. The rest of the afternoon is free. Take part
in Kabbalat Shabbat at the Kotel (Western Wall) before a festive Shabbat dinner at the
hotel, followed by a presentation by a riveting guest speaker. Overnight Sheraton Plaza
Hotel in Jerusalem.

Saturday / Shabbat May 16         This is a free day. There will be an optional walking tour
of the Old City with a guide. Overnight at the Sheraton Plaza Hotel in Jerusalem.

Sunday, May 17         The first stop in Jerusalem will be a visit to the Quittman Center at
Israel Elwyn, a residence for mentally challenged adults where they receive therapy and
training to mainstream into society (and another BZ project). See the outstanding campus
and facilities, designed to provide maximum success and transformation for its several-
hundred residents. Continue to Yad Vashem for a multi-faceted tour there. After lunch,
stop at the David Yellin Academic College of Education, another project BZ supports. Walk
through the lovely campus and learn about the diverse program at the College that trains
Israel’s teachers of tomorrow. Head to Emek Haela Winery for a delicious experience that
will include a tour of the winery, a sampling of many of its award-winning varieties, and a
taste of some of Israel’s best cheeses. Return to Jerusalem; evening will be free.
Overnight Sheraton Plaza Hotel in Jerusalem.

Monday, May 18        Hear a dynamic speaker over breakfast then depart Jerusalem for the
drive to Eilat. Along the way, stop at the scenic oasis Ein Gedi for a nature hike and
opportunity to go into its famous springs, or opt for relaxation at the Dead Sea. Arrive Eilat
and check into the Neptune Hotel. Evening will be free. Overnight Neptune Hotel in Eilat.
Tuesday, May 19         Begin the day with a morning visit to the nearby Navy base and hear
about the region and its strategic concerns from the military perspective of a top-level
Naval officer. Balance this serious analysis with a delightful lunch cruise around the area
that follows the morning meeting. Don’t forget to bring your bathing suit and suntan
lotion! Balance of the day and evening will be free to explore Eilat. Overnight at the
Neptune Hotel in Eilat.

Wednesday, May 20            Leaving Eilat enroute to Tel Aviv, the first stop will be King
Solomon’s Mines at Timna for a jeep ride adventure. See the local flora and fauna while
traversing in a jeep. Continue to Yod Vata Nature Reserve and enjoy an Israeli lunch there.
Stop at Mitzpe Ramon for a view of the impressively deep crater. Continue to Tel Aviv and
check into the Ramada Renaissance Hotel. The evening will be free to take in some of Tel
Aviv’s nightlife. Overnight Ramada Renaissance in Tel Aviv.

Thursday, May 21          Visit the fascinating Center for Spies & Intelligence at Glilot, and
learn about some of the Mossad’s biggest successes. The afternoon will be free for
shopping in Tel Aviv and you will benefit from late check-out at the hotel. In the evening,
enjoy a cocktail party and farewell dinner with entertainment at the very picturesque town
Kfar Bnai Zion, another beneficiary of BZ support. Transfer to Ben Gurion Airport for the
return flight to the States.

Friday, May 22     Depart Israel on a 1:00am El Al flight.
