Friendship Development Associates (FDA) is a non-profit, whose mission is to revitalize the Friendship area – a socially and economically diverse community - through strategic and responsible real estate development.
DUTIES: Financial Enter all financial transactions into Quickbooks Pro. Review and pay invoices biweekly for review and signature by Executive Director and Treasurer. Manage all deposits and transfers. Prepare account summaries for funders, Executive Director and Finance Committee. Prepare monthly FDA Combined Statement of Activity (CSA) for Executive Director and Finance Committee. Prepare, modify and distribute FDA Owned Properties Report biannually for Finance Committee. Reconcile all monthly bank statements; give to Treasurer for review and signature. Prepare and submit monthly organizational and operational invoices and reimbursement requests. Monitor the requisition and receipt of programmatic and operational funds. File financial invoices, payments, deposits and bills and other related financial documentation. Communicate with vendors and service providers to ensure the accuracy of all organizational invoices and bills, request modifications and clarification as required. Present invoices and bills to specific project/program manager for their review and approval as required. Coordinate and work extensively with auditor to collect relevant financial documents needed to ensure completion of the annual audit. Manage all payroll activities. Key staff to Finance Committee. Manage operational contracts and file all related correspondences. General Administration & Office Management Procure office supplies, equipment and repairs as necessary, to ensure that the office is sufficiently supplied at all times. Organize and maintain office filing systems. Open mail & distribute it to employees. Prepare, organize and distribute monthly E-Board packets. Prepare and revise documents for FDA Board Manual on an annual basis. Make recommendations for improvement of all office systems. Participate in Real Estate Staff meetings and related staff meetings as needed. Maintain FDA Committee Meeting Schedule; distribute meeting schedule to FDA Board and staff. Assist Executive Director in Operational Fundraising efforts. Perform other necessary activities to accomplish the mission of the FDA as directed by the Executive Director.
