Position Description: The expanded focus of The Partnership has lead to the need for a dedicated Staff Accountant. The Staff Accountant will assume a leadership role in the finance and administration department. The Staff Accountant will work closely with the President/CEO and Senior and Program Managers. He/she will report to the President/CEO and meet quarterly with the Board of Directors. The critical work objectives are to manage all financial accounting/operations, grants administration, human resource administration and policies and procedures of the organization. The Staff Accountant will also manage all external accounts and relationships. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for providing excellent customer service. Success requires effective cross-functional management with members of other departments. The Staff Accountant will also be a leader in projects which may require high level Excel skills, solid cost/managerial accounting knowledge and ability to train other non-finance staff. Critical Work Objectives: Manage the financial accounting and reporting, forecasting and budgeting processes • • • • • • • Manage all general ledger and subsidiary journals, including cash receipts, cash disbursements, accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue releases, payroll accounts, cash flow forecasting, grants administration and reporting Reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable on a monthly basis Process cash disbursements on a weekly basis Manage the purchase order process for the organization Process general ledger transactions and post entries Reconcile all credit card purchases to monthly statements Perform all cash account reconciliations for all relevant bank accounts

Job description - Staff Accountant [continued] • Manage all annual reporting requirements • Coordinate the monthly review process with the Program Managers • Prepare materials for Board of Directors meetings • Assist in the annual budgeting process • Assist with strategic budgets for long/short term planning for the organization • Assist with financial models and other projects are needed • Assists in the annual financial and any other audits as required • Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) Operations • Input payroll information for payroll vendor on a bi-weekly basis as needed • Make daily cash deposits in multiple bank accounts for all companies • Manage all vendor relationships and resolution of billing issues • Manage the purchase order process for the organization • Manage all insurance policies (workers compensation, general liability, D&O, etc.) • Ensure compliance with The Partnership’s internal control procedures and other policies and procedures • Perform daily back-ups for the QuickBooks system • Process 1099 forms and other forms relevant to the organization Grant Administration • Review and report submissions to all funding partners as required • Work closely with the VP of Client Services on budgets, projections and other grant related procedures Human Resources Administration • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations • Coordinate the “new hire process” for all new employees • Set up new employees on payroll • Oversee and manage benefits for all employees • Maintain the organization’s personnel files • Update and implement human resource related forms as necessary Develop and Implement Policies and Procedures within finance to ensure efficiency and excellent customer service • Coordinate writing all accounting systems and procedures • Coordinate financial training for all staff • Assist staff and troubleshoot issues as needed

Job description - Staff Accountant [continued] Additional Qualifications: • • • • • • • • • • BS/BA required 5-7 years related preferred Non-profit experience preferred but not required Knowledge of non-profit accounting standards, FASB 116 & 117 preferred but not required (willing to learn) Excellent analytical and organizational skills Excellent excel skills required Willingness to be flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment Team-player with a positive attitude and the ability to interact with all levels of the organization Knowledge of QuickBooks accounting systems preferred Salary commensurate with experience, Range $40,000 - $60,000
