Get back into shape after birth
aDVerTiSeMenT Get back into shape after birth Tapping mum Sallie Raymond is combining two things she loves when she takes part in the City of Wanneroo’s Postnatal Walking Groups - keeping fit and catching up with friends. Sallie who recently had her baby, joined the City’s Postnatal Walking Group at Banksia Grove Community Centre five weeks ago and hasn’t looked back since. “It’s nice to get out in the sun and do some exercise, but for me the walk is not just why I take part,” Sallie said. “It’s a great excuse to get out with the baby and a chance to catch up with the girls.” Sallie and her mothers’ group joined the walking group for their postnatal recovery and an opportunity to catch up weekly. They enjoy a leisurely 30-minute walk through the City, guided by the City’s Recreation Officer, and then head back to the Community Centre for a hot drink and chat.
