Bill Patterson is the Director of Product Management for Microsoft Dynamics™ CRM Online for the
Microsoft Business Solutions Group at Microsoft Corp. Patterson is responsible for worldwide product
planning and product marketing for Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online. His team is responsible for
feature and business planning and the go-to-market strategy for this internet-delivered service.

Patterson has ten years of experience in the customer relationship management (CRM) industry,
including business strategy consulting, software selection and implementation, and custom solution
development. He has successfully led implementations of enterprise CRM initiatives for organizations
in financial services, manufacturing, professional sports, entertainment, high technology,
homebuilding and nonprofits. Before joining Microsoft, Patterson led a consulting organization for a
Microsoft partner where he helped launch Microsoft® CRM 1.0, including getting four of the first 13
customers up and running on Microsoft’s initial CRM software offering.

Patterson graduated with a bachelor of arts in business administration from Miami University in
Oxford, Ohio, with an emphasis in operations management and management information systems. He
is a Microsoft-certified Solution Developer with specializations in software architecture, database
design, systems integration and Web development.
