Manager of Contract Administration
An international, Dallas based multi-billion dollar public company is searching for a Manager of
Contract Administration to join their team (local candidates only). The responsibilities include:
Directs activities concerned with contracts primarily for sale of equipment and/or services. Also
directs contract review for purchase of materials, products, or services. Areas of review include
commercial terms, liability limitations, insurance, legal requirements, and risk management.
Develops standards and checklists for company-wide contract guidelines. Reviews bids,
specifications, and other exhibits for conformity to contract requirements and determination of
acceptable bids. Supports contract negotiations with customer or bidder. Requests or approves
amendments to or extensions of contracts. Advises planning and production departments of
contractual rights and obligations. Compiles data and estimates for preparing bids. May
coordinate work of sales department with production and shipping department to implement
fulfillment of contracts. May act as liaison between company and subcontractors.
Develops training regimen and directs training of key individuals throughout the organization
who act as the key participants for contract management.
Manages a small, non-centralized contracts administration group with global responsibility.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree an approximately 10 years of experience.

Compensation includes a base salary of up to $90K with a potential bonus of 20% or more.
Best candidates will have experience in heavy equipment, commercial construction and/or
engineering industries. Responsibilities of this position do NOT include contract pricing,
profitability analysis, procurement or IT management.

North East Regional Leadership Meeting – Philadelphia, PA
The Greater Philadelphia Chapter of NCMA has the privelege and honor of hosting the next Leadership
meeting in Philadelphia on January 17 & 18, 2003. The attached cover letter, registration form and
tentative agenda will give you an idea on the meeting topics, and local sites to see and activities

What makes a Fellow? This award is the third-highest honor NCMA gives to those members who have
significantly contributed to NCMA and the profession as a whole. Selection criteria include: academic
background, work experience in contracting and management positions, NCMA chapter-level and
national service, support of professional publications, active support of chapter education programs,
participation in NCMA national or regional conferences, involvement in other similar organizations’
programs, teaching experience, and national awards and recognition.
