News from the Field
Lusaka, Zambia
One of the countless testimonies I would like to share is about the life of one of the teenage girls who used to faithfully
come to church and to attend the Bible study. About eight months ago she stopped coming. I made many inquiries and
found out that she was impregnated and was sent to the village to stay with the relatives. The girls and I prayed for her daily;
we asked the Holy Spirit to intercede on her behalf and to touch what we were seemingly unable to touch by sight. Well,
five weeks ago, to our surprise, she came to church with her little baby. I was absolutely speechless. I ran to her and before
she could say anything I hugged her and told her that she was greatly missed by all of us. She couldn’t believe everyone’s
response of love and acceptance toward her. God has done such a work in her heart. There has been a complete restora-
tion and she has truly grasped the grace and the finished work message of Christ and really understood God’s unending
love toward her.
She is now very faithful to church and to the Bible study. All the girls that live close to her help with baby Jonathan and
Budapest, Hungary March, 2009 take turns carrying him as they walk to my house for the Saturday Bible study. It is beautiful to see how the other girls are
helping her to receive the Word of God however they can, and it is yet another testimony of the power of God and His pre-
cious Word that reaches deep within and causes “dry bones to live.”
One of our team members, Joe Roche, has felt a strong desire to start something with young guys. So on Mondays he
teaches them basketball and shares a small devotional and on Saturdays he has a Bible study with them. The outcome has
been tremendous in drawing teenage guys to church. Our vision was also to bring teenagers on evangelism with the team
