Instructions for installing BlackBerry® Connect™ software and activating BlackBerry® Enterprise Solution on Sony Ericsson M600i/P990i/W950i
Preliminary requirements: • Installed PC suite for your cell phone • SIM card with activated BlackBerry® service • Actual software version for your cell phone Important: To use BlackBerry® service you need to have installed BlackBerry® Connect™ software installed on your phone and installed BlackBerry® Connect Desktop™ software (for connecting with mail server -Microsoft® Exchange, Lotus® Domino®). 1. Installing the software BlackBerry® Connect Desktop™
* If your cell phone supports BlackBerry® Connect ™ software v4.X ( for Sony Ericsson P1i ) and you have BlackBerry® Enterprise Server v4.0 or higher, you can set up your account using wireless enterprise activation. It is not necessary to install BlackBerry® Connect Desktop™. If your cell phone supports BlackBerry® Connect ™ software v4.X follow only the instructions on step 2 (“Installing BlackBerry® Connect™ software on your cell phone” ). For more information contact your system administrator. 1.1 To start the installation of BlackBerry® Connect Desktop™ double click on the following icon 1.2 Click on the drop-down menu 1.3 Choose language 1.4 Click “OK”
1.5 Click “Next”
1.6 Choose country/language/ or region and click “Next”
1.7 Read the terms in the license of agreement. If you agree with them choose “I accept the terms in the license agreement” and click “Next”
1.8 In the field “User Name:” write user name. In the filed “Company Name:” write the name of the company. Choose if it has to be installed for all the users of the computer (Anyone who uses this computer) or just for your profile (Only for me) and click ”Next”
1.9 Choose where to install the program (if you don’t want to use the standard location for installation click Browse) and click Next, to continue the installation:
1.10 Choose the type of mail you are using (“Microsoft Exchange” or “Lotus Domino”) and click „Next”
1.11 If you want to create a shortcut of the program on your Desktop click “Yes”: 1.12 Click “Finish” for complete the installation. 2. Installing BlackBerry® Connect™ software on your cell phone 2.1 Connect the phone to the computer via data cable
2.2 To install the “.sis” file on your phone double click on the following icon 2.3 Click “Next”. 2.4 Click “Exit”, to continue the installation on the phone

2.5 Press “Install” (on the phone), for continuing the installation on the phone
2.6 Select “Yes” to start the application on your phone (If “Attachment Viewer" has been selected then choose “BlackBerry” the drop-down menu)
2.7 Select “BlackBerry Enterprise” from the drop-down menu. Click “Done”
2.8 Click “Continue” for the following two steps:

Your phone has to be “Connected” and ready for connecting to the BlackBerry® Enterprise Server via BlackBerry® Connect Desktop™
3. Connecting BlackBerry® Connect™ software and BlackBerry® Enterprise Server
Before going to this step you need: To have installed PC suite for Sony Ericsson To connect the phone with the computer via data cable 3.1 Start BlackBerry® Connect Desktop™. Click “Connect”
3.2 When you see the window shown below, move the mouse on the screen in order to generate encryption key.
3.3 Click “Yes”, for synchronization (or “No”, if you don’t want to synchronize) your calendar.

After finishing the synchronization of your calendar (if you have selected “Yes” on step 3.3) now you can send and receive e-mails through your cell phone
