					     RYERSON WIRELESS ACCESS INSTRUCTIONS – MAC OSX

1) Click on the Apple Menu – select System Preferences - then select Network




2) Click the arrow to the right of the SHOW field – select Network Port
   Configurations
3)   Select Airport and drag it to the top of the list – Click Apply Now
4)   Select the Show dropdown menu once again and select Airport
5)   Select “Using DHCP” in the Configure IPv4 dropdown menu
6)   Click Apply now




     Proceed to next page…
7) Click the Airport tab
8) Select “Preferred Networks”
9) Ensure that the Show AirPort status in menu bar is checked
10) Click Apply now




11) Click the “+” symbol and the following screen appears
12) Ensure that the Network Name is RYERSON
13) In the Wireless Security dropdown menu ensure that it is set to WEP Password
14) Type the password (or KEY) provided on my.ryerson.ca (under Ryerson Wireless
    on the main page upon login)
15) Click OK and close all screens




16) Open up a browser (Safari, Mozilla Firefox, etc.) and you will be prompted to
    login. Enter your Ryerson username and password and you will be granted
    Internet access.
