Description:    In 2007, a total of 361 million square meters of wood floor were produced in China, increasing
                9.4% on the previous year. The laminate wood floor is still leading the market which consists of a
                diversity of floorings, and the output of solid wood floor fell a little due to the lack of raw materials.

                China has become one of the world’s largest wood floor producers and the wood floor market
                contains giant development potential. During 2006 and 2020, about 12 billion square meters of
                residential area will be finished in the urban area of China, 80% of which can be decorated. It is
                predicted that wood floor will probably cover about 25% of the floor decoration market. Suppose
                the newly constructed residential area needs about 158 million square meters of wood floor every
                year from 2006 to 2010, the huge demand will certainly help to realise the market potential.

                Meanwhile, the overseas consumers appreciate Chinese-made wood floor more, and the
                improvement and development of technique standards, flower pattern and varieties are helping
                make China-made wood floor more popular in the international market and improve the export as
                well.
