1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 Plaintiff, a prisoner at the California Substance Abuse Treatment Facility and 12 State Prison, Corcoran, has filed a pro se civil rights complaint under 42 U.S.C. § 1983. 13 A substantial part of the events or omissions giving rise to the claim(s) occurred, and the 14 defendants named reside, in the County of Kings, which lies within the venue of the 15 Eastern District of California. See 28 U.S.C. § 84(b). Venue therefore properly lies in 16 the Eastern District.
