  With all the problems the world is facing, it can
be unsettling to the mind. Today, I will share with
you ten predictions that are sure to come true this

    1. The Bible will still have all the answers.
    2. Prayer will still be the most powerful thing
       on Earth.
    3. The Holy Spirit will still move.
    4. God will still honor the praises of His
    5. There will still be God-anointed
    6. There will still be singing of praise
       to God.
    7. God will still pour out blessings
       upon His people.
    8. There will still be room at the
    9. Jesus will still love you.
10. Jesus will still save the lost
    when they come to Him.

         “Retarded” Grandparents
                (This was actually reported by a teacher)

      After Christmas, a teacher asked her young pupils how they
   spent their holiday away from school. One child wrote the
      We always used to spend the holidays with Grandma and
   Grandpa. They used to live in a big brick house but Grandpa got
   retarded and they moved to Arizona. Now they live in a tin box
   and have rocks painted green to look like grass. They ride around
   on their bicycles and wear nametags because they don’t know
   who they are anymore.
      They go to a building called a wreck center, but they must have
   got it fixed because it is all okay now, they do exercises there, but
   they don’t do them very well. There is a swimming pool too, but
   they all jump up and down in it with hats on. At their gate, there is
   a dollhouse with a little old man sitting in it. He watches all day so
   nobody can escape. Sometimes they sneak out, and go cruising in
   their golf carts.
      Nobody there cooks, they just eat out. And, they eat the same
   thing every night --- early birds. Some of the people can’t get out
   past the man in the dollhouse. The ones who do get out, bring
   food back to the wrecked center for potluck.
      My Grandma says that Grandpa worked all his life to earn his
   retardment and says I should work hard so I can be retarded
   someday too. When I earn my retardment,
   I want to be the man in
   the dollhouse. Then I
   will let people out,
   so they can visit
   their grandchildren.

          John 3:16
   A little boy was selling newspapers on the corner. The people were in
and out of the cold. The little boy was so cold that he wasn’t trying to
sell many papers. He walked up to a policeman and said, ‘Mister, you
wouldn’t happen to know where a poor boy could find a warm place to
sleep tonight would you? You see, I sleep in a box up around the corner
there and down the alley and it’s awful cold in there for tonight. Sure
would be nice to have a warm place to stay.’
   The policeman looked down at the little boy and said, ‘You go down
the street to that big white house and you knock on the door. When they
come out the door you just say John 3:16, and they will let you in.’
   So he did. He walked up the steps and knocked on the door, and a
lady answered. He looked up and said, ‘John 3:16.’ The lady said, ‘Come
on in, son.’ She took him in and she sat him down in a split bottom rocker
in front of a great big old fireplace, and she went off. The boy sat there
for a while and thought to himself: John 3:16... I don’t understand it, but it
sure makes a cold boy warm.
   Later she came back and asked him, ‘Are you hungry?’ He said,
‘Well, just a little. I haven’t eaten in a couple of days, and I guess I could
stand a little bit of food.’ The lady took him in the kitchen and sat him
down to a table full of wonderful food. He ate and ate until he couldn’t
eat anymore. Then he thought to himself: John 3:16... Boy, I sure don’t
understand it but it sure makes a hungry boy full.
   She took him upstairs to a bathroom to a huge bathtub filled with warm
water, and he sat there and soaked for a while. As he soaked, he thought

                                                     boy clean. He thought to
                                                     himself… You know, I’ve
                                                     not had a bath, a real
                                                     bath, in my whole life. The
                                                     only bath I ever had was
                                                     when I stood in front of
                                                     that big old fire hydrant as
                                                     they flushed it out.

got him. She took him to a room, tucked him into a big old feather bed,
pulled the covers up around his neck, kissed him goodnight and turned
out the lights. As he lay in the darkness and looked out the window at the
snow coming down on that cold night, he thought to himself: John 3:16... I
don’t understand it but it sure makes a tired boy rested.
   The next morning the lady came back up and took him down again to
that same big table full of food. After he ate, she took him back to that
same big old split bottom rocker in front of the fireplace and picked up
a big old Bible. She sat down in front of him and looked into his young
face. ‘Do you understand John 3:16?’ she asked gently. He replied, ‘No,
Ma’am, I don’t. The first time I ever heard it was last night when the
policeman told me to use it.’
   She opened the Bible to John 3:16 and began to explain to him about
Jesus. Right there, in front of that big old fireplace, he gave his heart and
life to Jesus. He sat there and thought: John 3:16 – I don’t understand it,
but it sure makes a lost boy feel safe.

   Don’t try to be Smarter than DaD!
    A teenage boy had just passed his driving test and inquired of his
  father as to when they could discuss his use of the car. His father said
  he’d make a deal with his son: ‘You bring your grades up from a C to
  a B average, study your Bible a little, and get your hair cut. Then we’ll
  talk about the car.’
    The boy thought about that for a moment, decided he’d settle
  for the offer, and they agreed on it. After about six weeks his father
  said, ‘Son, you’ve brought your grades up and I’ve observed that
  you have been studying your Bible, but I’m disappointed you haven’t
  had your hair cut.
    The boy said, ‘You know, Dad, I’ve been thinking about that, and I’ve
  noticed in my studies of the Bible that Samson had long hair, John the
  Baptist had long hair, Moses had long hair... and there’s even strong
  evidence that Jesus had long hair.’ You’re going to love the Dad’s reply:
  ‘Did you also notice they all walked everywhere they went?’

   Hoxsiac is a product based on the work of Harry M. Hoxsey M.D. in the
U.S.A. and Rene Caisse in Canada. Both of these health reformers were
very popular in North America since the beginning of the 20th century.
                            The “essiac story,” was dwarfed by the amazing life
                         of Harry Hoxsey. For more information about his life,
                         there is an excellent movie called, “Hoxsey: When
                         Healing Becomes a Crime,” which is available from
                         Netflix for rental. What he experienced and the fight
                         the medical community had against him is the stuff
                         of legend.
                            His “d--- the torpedoes, full speed ahead”
                         approach provided him with an avalanche of court
actions by medical authorities and their counterparts at the U.S. FDA. In
1956 Harry Hoxsey published his signature work, “You Don’t Have To Die,”
detailing his experiences of the healing effects of Hoxsiac.
   Many hundreds of cured cancer patients managed to show up at
Hoxsey’s trials to testify -- hundreds out of thousands of documented cases,
served only to delay the inevitable: the closing of Hoxsey’s 17 successful
cancer clinics and the exodus of his legacy to Tijuana, Mexico, which
would be run by his protege, Mildred Nelson. She has since passed on, but
the “Hoxsey Clinic” still operates today!
   Hoxsey’s topical formula has its own long history of effective use. In
fact, medical authorities were forced to admit in one of Hoxsey’s court
proceedings that his topical formulas work successfully -- details which
Hoxsey proudly related in Chapter 15 of his book.
   Harry Hoxsey attributed the origin of Hoxsiac to his great grandfather,
John Hoxsey, and an incident involving a sick horse that took place in
the Fall of 1840. The botanical ingredients used by Hoxsey were clearly in
use by native American medicine men at that time. So well documented
is this indigenous use that we find it doubtful that Harry Hoxsey’s great
grandfather would not have been exposed to a good deal of this

Why DiD Jesus FolD the NapkiN?
   Why did Jesus fold the linen burial cloth after His resurrection? I never
noticed this....
   The Gospel of John (20:7) tells us that the napkin, which was placed
over the face of Jesus, was not just thrown aside like the grave clothes.
The Bible takes an entire verse to tell us that the napkin was neatly
folded, and was placed separate from the grave clothes.
   Early Sunday morning, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene came
to the tomb and found that the stone had been rolled away from the
entrance. She ran and found Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one
whom Jesus loved. She said, ‘They have taken the Lord’s body out of the
tomb, and I don’t know where they have put him!’
   Peter and the other disciple ran to the tomb to see. The other disciple
outran Peter and got there first. He stooped and looked in and saw the
linen cloth lying there, but he didn’t go in. Then Simon Peter arrived and
went inside. He also noticed the linen wrappings lying there, while the
cloth that had covered Jesus’ head was folded up and lying to the side.
   Was that important? Absolutely! Is it really significant? Yes! In order
to understand the significance of the folded napkin, you have to
understand a little bit about Hebrew tradition of that day. The folded
napkin had to do with the Master and Servant, and every Jewish boy
knew this tradition.
   When the servant set the dinner table for the master, he made sure
that it was exactly the way the master wanted it. The table was furnished
perfectly, and then the servant would wait, just out of sight, until the
master had finished eating, and the servant would not dare touch that
table until the master was finished.
   Now if the master were done eating, he would rise from the table,
wipe his fingers, his mouth, and clean his beard, and would wad up that
napkin and toss it onto the table. The servant would then know to clear
the table. For in those days, the wadded napkin meant, ‘I’m done’.
   But if the master got up from the table, and folded his napkin, and
laid it beside his plate, the servant would not dare touch the table,

     The Hypocritical Hypocrite
     “Man’s reasoning processes are most unusual at times. Hypocrites may
   hold membership in fraternal lodges or civic clubs; they may attend
   theaters or parties; yet I have never heard of anyone staying away from
   such places because of hypocrites being there. But just let a few get
   inside the church, and many find this to be ample reason for them to stay
   outside. It reminds me of a little story.
     “Why don’t you join the church, Sam?” a neighbor once asked.
     “Too many hypocrites there,” Sam replied. “No use of my joining.”
     “That’s right,” the neighbor reflected; “there would only be one more
       hypocrite if you joined, I guess.” -Unknown

   Our fellow workers in the faith, once delivered to the Saints, have sent us
some pictures of the fruit they have garnered for the Master. These people
have a burning desire to help finish the work, and many young people are
joining them to reach the masses.
   These are not quick baptisms but are well studied and informed as to all
of the truths that the Seventh-day Adventist Church holds dear. And after
these people are baptized, they become energetic workers for the Lord!
   Your donations keep these workers busy in the field, spreading the seed,
watering the gardens of the Lord and harvesting the ripe grain as the Holy
Spirit leads and guides. Please keep these godly workers in your prayers,
that we might have an abundant harvest to return to Jesus, for all He has
done for us!
   This young lady decided to follow our
Lord after reading a “Steps to Christ” book
we handed out, and joined the church at
the age of 15. She is the fruit of the Holy
Spirit and the missionary work done by
our youth department. We praise the Lord
for the support that you send us so that we
can hand out the precious literature of truth!
   This woman and her husband were Pentecostals. They both decided to
be baptized after having studied the Bible with a Bible worker. The young
man belonged to a family of Pentecostals. Last Sabbath, he invited his

tongues. God is bringing more souls out of darkness into His marvelous light!
  This lady belongs to God’s church in La Victoria
County, Panama. She is the mother of two children:
a boy (4yrs) and a girl (2yrs). Our Bible worker in that
area began studies with her sister’s husband, but
curiously, after having received the Bible studies, it
was she that instead decided to follow Jesus, and
brought her two children to Christ. God moves in
mysterious ways.
  Here is a letter from one of the church elders I received by email a few
days ago:
  “We will be visiting our brethren in Costa Rica on May 13-16, and plan
to distribute tabloids in San José, the capital city. This is a +/-95% Catholic
population country. May be they are going to have an important natural
catastrophe, as it happened to us in Panama, after we distributed the
Everlasting Gospel tabloid. Your prayers are requested, that these blessed

  I emailed them yesterday to ask how the trip to Costa Rica went. This was
their response:
  “Our trip was good. We met with the brethren in San Ramon, a city
one hour away from San José the Capital city. The brethren there were
distributing the tabloids as I told you we would do, and today, Thursday,
May 20th at 4:16 p.m. local time, an earthquake of 6.2 magnitude shook
Costa Rica. Coincidence? NO!! I will be sending you the pictures of the
work there shortly.”
  This man, a former Catholic “by default,” began to study the Bible by
himself until one of our Bible workers talked to him and invited him to our
Sabbath Worship service more than a year ago. He could not accept
the idea that a man could take the place of God and be named “His
Holiness,” when his Bible called that blasphemy. Now he is struggling
against his mother’s traditions because now she calls him a “sick fanatic.”
He only smiled when told us about this and hopes to bring his mother to
Christ by helping her understand God’s salvation plan. There are many
                                wonderful people studying the scriptures to
                                know what to do.
                                  Please pray that God will continue to lead us
                                to these questioning souls!

Heaven and Your Friends
                                 (a parable)

  A man and his dog were walking along a road. The man was enjoying
the scenery, when it suddenly occurred to him that he was dead. He
remembered dying, and that the dog walking beside him had been
dead for years. He wondered where the road was leading them.
  After a while, they came to a high, white stone wall along one side of
the road. It looked like fine marble. At the top of a long hill, it was broken
by a tall arch that glowed in the sunlight.
  When he was standing before it he saw a magnificent gate in the
arch that looked like mother-of-pearl, and the street that led to the gate
looked like pure gold. He and the dog walked toward the gate, and
as he got closer, he saw a man at a desk to one side.
  When he was close enough, he called out, ‘Excuse me, where are
we?’ ‘This is Heaven, sir,’ the man answered. ‘Wow! Would you happen to
have some water?’ the man asked. Of course, sir, come right in, and I’ll
have some ice water brought right up. ‘The man gestured, and the gate
began to open. ‘Can my friend,’ gesturing toward his dog, ‘come in,

too?’ the traveler asked. ‘I’m sorry sir, but we don’t accept pets.’
   The man thought a moment and then turned back toward the road
and continued the way he had been going with his dog. After another
long walk, and at the top of another long hill, he came to a dirt road
leading through a farm gate that looked as if it had never been closed.
There was no fence.
   As he approached the gate, he saw a man inside, leaning against
a tree and reading a book. ‘Excuse me!’ he called to the man. ‘Do
you have any water?’ ‘Yeah, sure, there’s a pump over there, come on
in.’ ‘How about my friend here?’ the traveler gestured to the dog. ‘There
should be a bowl by the pump.’
   They went through the gate, and sure enough, there was an old-
fashioned hand pump with a bowl beside it. The traveler filled the water
bowl and took a long drink himself, then he gave some to the dog. When
they were full, he and the dog walked back toward the man who was
standing by the tree.
   ‘What do you call this place?’ the traveler asked. ‘This is heaven,’ he
answered. ‘Well, that’s confusing,’ the traveler said. ‘The man down the
road said that was Heaven, too.’ ‘Oh, you mean the place with the gold
street and pearly gates? Nope. That’s hell.’
   ‘Doesn’t it make you mad for them to use your name like that?’ ‘No,
we’re just happy that they screen out the folks who would leave their best
friends behind.’
