Google Apps has two new features that are now available at SIUC: Google Wave (Labs) and
Google Groups.

Google Waves (Labs) allows customers to have real-time collaboration and editing of shared
documents. For more information, see http://wave.google.com/about.html. To access Google
Waves (Labs) at SIUC, go to the web site:

Google Groups allows customers to create and manage their own web- or e-mail-based
discussion groups with member lists or named mailing lists. All user-created discussion group
or mailing list names will automatically have the suffix “-group” added to the name. For
example, if RSO X wanted to have a mailing list for all members, the created name for the group
mailing list might be rso-x-group@siu.edu. For more information, see
http://groups.google.com/intl/en/googlegroups/overview.html. To access Google Groups at
SIUC, go to the web site:

       http://groups.siu.edu

When viewing e-mail via webmail, customers can also access Groups via the link on the upper-,
left-hand corner of the displayed window.
